We provide residential real estate services for buyers and sellers - from first time buyers - to Luxury Home sellers - to Investors: Chris was originally licensed Real Estate Salesperson (Realtor) in Arizona in 1986 and re-licensed in 2009. He has been a real estate investor (commercial and residential) ever since he bought my first home more than a couple of decades ago. Now an Associate Broker with Tierra Antigua holds designations such as Certified Negotiation Expert, Certified Short Sale Negotiator, Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified Short Sale Professional, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource and Accredited Buyer's Representative among others. Real Estate is Chris's second career. Chris spent over 28 years in the fire service and retired as the Fire Chief of Rural/Metro Fire Department. Chris still holds an Arizona Paramedic Certification and prestigious designations such as Chief Fire Officer Designee. This experience has given Chris an extensive knowledge of the community and neighborhoods as well as tremendous experience at negotiation of contracts. Chris is a master at real estate marketing and works with both Buyers and Sellers Shannan is a lifelong resident of Arizona and a 30+ resident of Tucson. She received both her Bachelor's degree and a law degree from the University of Arizona. Prior to becoming a licensed real estate agent she was a founder and CEO of a Tucson based company that did environmental testing. The company was selected as an Inc 500 Company and received the Copper Cactus Award for Best Place to Work in Pima County. She sold the company in 2002 and began a career in real estate investment. She was "flipping houses" before there were television shows about it! Shannan has always been very active in the local community, serving on Boards of Directors of a number of start-up companies as well as local non-profits. In 2011 she received a Tucson Woman of Influence award. Shannan knows first hand what makes the Tucson area so outstanding and is quick to share that knowledge. During the entire experience, Chris kept us informed on the status and discussed the possible directions that things could go in. Chris and Shannan are tremendous resources in the real estate field. In working with customers, they do a great job making sure they understand customer's needs, help them identify the right location and negotiate the purchase price. But more than that, often times, they can show a property that can be quickly and easily made into a property that completely helps the customer get what they want. Also, they are very dialed into the market and use all of the newest tools and resources to ensure the customer is completely up to date.
Because of their business backgrounds, they are very competent on laws, lending issues, and home construction. More than once, I've referred customers to them with excellent results and feedback.

We found Chris through Zillow, several months before we moved to Tucson. We weren't sure if we were going to buy or rent. Even though our only contact had been online, Chris quickly set up a customized online portal to view new listings that fit the criteria of what we might eventually buy. This service distinguished him from the other realtors we'd tried to contact online. If you are looking for a realtor to help you with at home search before you move to town, Chris can and will do that.
Once we did move to the Tucson area, Chris was willing and available to make the drive out to a suburban community to show us multiple homes per visit. He was very knowledgeable about different neighborhoods, types of sales (short sales especially), and mortgage programs. When we decided we were reading to buy, we looked at short sales, new construction, and existing homes. When we looked at new construction, Shannan Marty helped us tour the home gallery and choose finishes, which was a great help.
He helped us negotiate multiple contracts until we settled on the home where we felt we would be the happiest. The willingness to help us enter and then back out of several contracts so that we had peace of mind meant a lot to us and helped us feel satisfied with both the home we chose and our realtor.
Throughout our shopping and buying experience, we appreciated and enjoyed Chris's knowledge and his availability to share that knowledge and advice when we needed it. We could count on speedy responses to our e-mails and texts, even though we know that the team was very busy. Even after the sale we were able to get in touch easily. As an added bonus, the team stays in touch with former clients and hosts events that the family can attend for free.
