The electrician and plumber that came in to do work on our project through Pusch Ridge did excellent work and were very prompt for their appointments when we were ready for installation. We had to do some modifications to our lower oven unexpectedly
to accommodate the new glass cooktop, and with amazing speed and accuracy they came in and solved the problem.
They managed to cut the granite so that we only have one seam in our countertops, and it looks absolutely seamless! There is quite alot of movement in our granite and they matched the pattern beautifully.
The only thing I would have done differently would be to have them put plastic up to cover the doorways. When they cut the granite in our house for the cooktop installation there was a huge amount of granite dust that seemed to carry through to other rooms. Not a big deal, but it would save quite a bit of clean up at the projects end.
I would certainly have them do another project for us when the time comes. They were reliable and accommodating in every way possible, fair in pricing and everyone involved in the project took pride in their work. We interviewed a few different companies but were very lucky to find Pusch Ridge Renovations and have them do our project.
We signed the contract in August 2012 and were immediately relegated to the back burner. We are now headed for the last week in January 2013 and they are just finishing up. It has been one exceedingly frustrating experience to deal with this company.
There was always an excuse as to why someone couldn't or didn't show up, why the cabinets took so long, why the door wasn't done....so tired of all the excuses.
I simply cannot recommend this company for doing any remodeling. They came highly recommended by a co-worker who used them and was very pleased with the final product. The final product in our case does not outweigh the frustration we have had dealing with them.
We never saw the principals (Frank LaPere and his cohort) again after we signed the contract. They never showed up once things started to go wrong. They have apparently split from this company and started a competitive firm with a similar name (see the comment below). Why are we in the middle of their finger pointing!!
March 2013 - they came and finally installed the air conditioner grate that my husband told them they could find at Ace Hardware last October. The insisted it was a special order grate. Last Monday they showed up again (after a 3 week absence) and said they were having a hard time finding it, and they had been to all the Ace Hardware stores in town. Ralph again insisted they could find it at the Ace on Grant Rd (near I-10). They drove down there and returned with it. In addition, they caulked a leaky window. We still have a gaping hole between the laundry room and the kitchen where there is an unframed door.....waiting...still waiting.
Project was completed hastily on 03/19/2013 - 4 months after the initial completion date. We still have painting that was not completed. We will NEVER call these people again for any reason. I do not recommend them.

Because Pusch Ridge is a General Contractor, they were able to do the electrical, plumbing, tiling and drywall repair, etc. My understanding was the plumber and the electrician were Pusch ridge employees. Their work was good. They did sub out the floor tiling to a company they trusted and I was very pleased with the skill and speed in the installation of the tile. The drywall repair was subbed as well and the individuals who did the repairs were excellant.
The Project Manager, Tony, always stayed in touch with us and kept us appraised as to the comings and goings of his various crews. At least up until we questioned the finished edge of the granite. The granite we had selected had a resin finish from the quarry. After the edges were cut and shaped to the desired finish, the true color of the granite was exposed. This was an obvious lighter color than the granite top. Initially I was told to not worry, the edge would darken on it's own. After researching and questioning this, Frank stepped in and assurred us he would fix this to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, it took several months for them to finally stain/dye the edges. The color is not a match but it is better than it was.
Overall, I was happy with most the work they did. I cannot recommend the granite installer because of the problems we had with our slab. Maybe it was just our poor luck to pick a granite with a finish on it but I feel, with the declared level of experience the granite installer had, this problem should have been resolved before the granite was ever delivered to the house. I think they were hoping to install the granite as is and not have the customer question the edges.
I made the mistake of making final payment on the project immediately. So I think there was little incentive to put this problem high on their list. But I do have to give kudos to Frank for pushing to get this problen resolved.
Overall, a mixed review. They did a lot of good stuff but I can't help my opinion being tainted by the granite issue.
