Two gentlemen came about 9:30am started to remove the vent covers(registers) - took them out front and hosed them off. One of the gentlemen tried to sell me mold service and decontamination services worth 400 and 500 dollars with a 3yr and 4 yr warranty respectively. When I declined the additional services, he made a phone call and declared my ducts too dangerous and deteriorated to service and declined to provide the service that was the whole reason that they came out for. I complained and tried to call the company myself at the same number from the Ad. The numberhad been disconnected. My father tried the number with the same result. I then went to ask them about this issue. They were replacing all the vent covers that they had taken down. The gentleman that had stated my ducts were in too bad a shape, insisted the number worked so I asked him to call it - It was disconnected and he had no explanation. They immediately packed up and left - leaving my hose out and running, the front door wide open and did not even state that they were leaving. They left messess under each register that they had opened, as well. NO money had been exchanged. This was a dangerous bait and switch. I have been in the process of replacing my HVAC system and have had a number of other reputable companies looking at the duct work and all just thought I should get it cleaned before installing the new systems. None had a problem with my ducts.
