Breach of contract by not completing, not completing as contracted and damages. Committed fraud by falsifying contract. Tile was contracted for 'diagonal cut', an area was completed on 'straight cut' without knowledge or approval. Cussing and swearing within child presence by workers. Miscalculated sq footage by his statement "40 sq ft", then falsified contract for additional 120 sq ft. increasing amount charged. Stated his miscalculations was owners fault, he was "distracted" Damages to inside and outside of home. Christopher Bynum denied, then stated he knew about damage (was never going to say until confronted). Did not complete contracted work. Stated "all you had to do was call me" to return to complete work. Refused to be responsible for damages stating "I was giving you a deal" Refused to reimburse materials stated covered in contract. In fact mislead owners and had owners pick up materials. Refused to submit detail costs stated covered in contract to include "materials, rentals, & disposal fees" Poured waste in hole in backyard. (Dug shallow hole himself). Waste will affect plant and grass growth adding to additional damages. When asked he stated he "didn't finish" and "had to return to fill in hole". Stated owner couldn't "expect me to fill in hole when still wet." Back door was unlocked and not secured when the workers left the home. Continued to let family pet out. Leaving doors and windows open. (He took screens off of windows) Damage to walls, cabinets and paint. He refused to take responsibility for. He threatened to take to small claims court if did not pay in full, though work not completed and damages incurred. He had attorney wife (public defender) send email again threatening litigation, lien on home, police etc. Denying damages or incomplete work. Lanier Construction made no attempt to see damage, or complete work contracted. Though multiple times with text and during phone call there were attempts, on owners part, to come to resolution of problems. Lanier Construction made no efforts, wanting only payment for uncompleted work and to leave extensive damages and added costs for owner. There is so much more... Suffice to say: Christopher Bynum lied, threatened, refused to be responsible for poor workmanship and incompleted contracted work. He is unprofessional, untrustworthy, and unethical.
