Kristi was great! We were purchasing a new construction home and she came out to meet with me at my old home to get an idea of my style and furniture that would be staying in the new home. Then she went with me to the construction site to get a sense of the new home. Then she came with me to the design center to help me make final decisions about finishes for the new construction. It was great to have someone to bounce ideas off of, and to tell me when to reign it in. I tend to want everything I see. After the home was completed, Kristi came out and helped me pick window coverings and some new furnishings. She gave me suggestions about colors and keeping the flow between rooms. She was a great help and her fee was very reasonable. One of the things I liked most was that she reenforced for me that I can do a lot of this on my own, she didn't continue to work where she could see her services were not needed. That really made me trust her more. Overall working with Kristi was a really positive experience.

It went excellent. Kristy was prompt in her responses and listened to what my vision was. She used photos of my furnishings to determine colors. I painted the rooms and suggested walls using the colors Kristy selected and could not be more pleased! It all works: colors and furnishings.

Kristy was the key to solving a two fold problem: a home stuck in the 1990s , and no way to supervise even a modest update from 2000 miles away. She supervised and suggested a plan that was economical( even talking us out of expensive possible fixes) and stylish. The before and after contrasts were striking, yet the costs were modest. She was prompt with responses, kept her sense of humor ( and patience ) throughout, and in the end I felt like we had become friends. On top of this all, the project was an hour away , and she made lots of trips to supervise the work and do minor staging. I would highly recommend her . If I could I'd clone her to get her input and direction 2000 miles in this direction.

We are very happy to highly recommend Kristy of Kreative Designs and agree with the previous, positive, reviews from her other clients. --- Kristy helped us collect colors for our living room which not only look wonderful but also eliminated the need to recover a rather drab looking couch. She selected a wall color that miraculously made the couch "come alive" so now we don't have the expense of recovering a perfectly good couch. ---- Kristy also gave us ideas on how to make a way too large cabinet appear smaller which means we can keep this much needed cupboard space. How great is that??? --- She showed us how to arrange accessories, paintings etc. to appear more balanced and consequently more attractive. She arranged three pieces of furniture and instantly the room appeared larger, more aligned and far more attractive. We appreciate that Kristy worked with the furniture, etc. we already had. She made numerous other suggestions that we are happy to have followed. Kristy provided us with a detailed, written summary of our consultation, which we found extremely helpful and referred to often. ---- Kristy's professionalism, and enviable amazing talent, combined with her pleasant and friendly personality made our first experience with an interior decorator an absolute joy.

We cannot recommend Kristy enough. She has a special talent for understanding her client's needs and style before coming up with suggestions. Her eye for color and design is amazing. Kristy ensured that we had an overall idea of what we wanted to achieve before we made any choices or changes that we would regret. As someone who is easily overwhelmed by too many choices, she scouted out furniture, tile, carpeting, etc. for us to select from. This made the process so much easier and less stressful for us. I also really valued Kristy's honest feedback that prevented me from making decisions that would have caused problems later. Working with Kristy far exceeds any experiences I have had working with designers in the past.

I began working with Kristy about a year ago after my husband and I purchased a home that needed much renovation.  Stuck and at a loss as to where to begin or what to do, Kristy stepped in and helped guide us through many projects. (My only regret is that I didn't find Kristy BEFORE I made a few costly renovation blunders.) Kristy met with us and helped restructure/space plan key areas of our home to include demo and building of walls. She also helped with paint selection, which greatly impacted the feel of our home. I dislike shopping, and Kristy took the lead there too.  By asking key questions, she quickly learned our taste and life style (we have a little girl and a pet), and helped us build a home that was beautiful and real-life friendly.  Because I don't like shopping, Kristy frequently pre-shops for me and then shows me pieces she believes will work in my home.  I find this service particularly valuable as a working mom who does not have a lot of free time.  Kristy has also designed a beautiful front yard design for us. Our front yard is filled with tough angles and creating a welcoming and useful front yard space was no easy task. Kristy thoughtfully designed  a beautiful front yard for us.

I enjoy working with Kristy because she is thoughtful about your home, your dreams, and your budget. I had never hired an interior designer before because I always thought they were for "fancy," "don't touch anything" type homes. And, although Kristy has and can design for a more "elevated" life style, she also knows how to create a warm, livable home while being mindful of your budget. I am convinced that I have actually SAVED money thanks to her guidance and resourcefulness. I have also saved myself (and my husband) countless hours of doubt-filled home decor shopping.  In the end, the whole family is happier.

Kristy is reachable, approachable, and artistic.  She has vision but is also very good at listening to others. My husband and I often say we are so thankful we found Kristy.  Now, whenever people come to our home, all we hear is how beautiful it is.  We smile to ourselves because we know we have Kristy to thank for it.

The consultation went very well.  We were looking for a cohesive color palette for our entire home with some accent color walls.  We had painted this house in the past, but never seemed to get it right.  Kristy is someone you feel immediately at ease with because she is so friendly and personable.
She walked through our home to get a feel for what we already had going on.  She is interested in what colors we like/dislike and is able to suggest a base color that will work for all the rooms in the house, along with a few accent colors.  She brought color wheels with her so you can see how the colors work together to pull the house together.
We are really excited about the new color palette and can envision living with it for a long time.
We highly recommend using Kristy to anyone that is struggling with color choices.

Kristy was recommended by our painter, Bruce Pillion of Heritage Painting, to help us select carpeting and paint colors, and she did an excellent job. We were tired of an all white house and wanted a change. She came over, walked through the house noting what we had, and then helped us select a carpet color and texture, and she also helped us pick out specific paint colors which would work with it and and give us the change we wanted. She suggested an accent color and where it should be used. Although it's often difficult to know what something will look like from a small sample, we trusted her, and when the carpeting was installed and the painting completed, we were very pleased and happy at the change it made in our surroundings. It all worked exactly as she said it would. She's a true professional, and we give her the highest recommendation.

Now that the house is painted we are very delighted with the results. Kristy was able to coordinate the wall colors to accentuate the furnishings in our home. We are very pleased with the results.

We couldn't be happier with the results and Kristie's service. She really considered our likes, dislikes, personalities, trepidations. She responded quickly to last minute questions and clarifications and  helped us come to mutually agreeabable decisions. The colors Kristie picked for us were just perfect even though we took alot of convincing to get out of our box which made us wary of color. We had to take a little leap of faith and just go for it and we're very happy with the result. She was incredibly patient with us and our process but she was equally ready to say "no" when we suggested something that we thought was brilliant but she felt would be a grave design error, which we appreciated.   :) As I said, we couldn't be happier with results and we will continue to use her services. i am not sure if I was accurate with cost of service but it was very resonable given all she provided including written recaps of our meetings together.

Kristy is an absolute pleasure to work with.  She quickly tunes into what you want even if you can't articulate it!

We were very pleased with Kristy's suggestions and subsequently followed them (including the recommended painter) to the letter. The results - subtle but satisfying changes to our residence of 14 years - fit our decor and furnishings beautifully. Kristy took the time to understand that we are not the types for dramatic change, and came up with a suitable plan. We consider her consulting fee to be money very well spent.

Choosing paint colors, evaluating wall swatches, identifying a terrific painter.

Everything went great! I was completely paralyzed with indecision and had paint swatches all over my house. She let me know prior that she would walk through my entire house to get a feel for who I was based off of previous decoration decisions ... When I told her that I had just moved in and had most things in boxes or scattered around and let her know that would be pretty impossible. She suggested that I instead gather pictures of rooms/decor from online or magazines that I was drawn to prior to our appointment. She came on time and not only provided her suggestions..,but it just so happened that the color I was leaning towards was validated in her recommendation. She also suggested a bold and large linear graphic wrapping around 2 walls in a darker shade of the main color ... (I CAN'T WAIT to start that part)! Followed up with an email recapping what we discussed and checked back in with me about a month later. :) Wonderful experience with Kristy!

The colors suggested were excellent and the look was exactly what I was hoping to achieve!  I went out on a limb and changed one of the wall colors from what Kristi had suggested, but was only able to live with it for a week before having the painters change it back to the original suggestion.  I will be contacting Kristi in the future for more decorating assistance.

She promptly made and kept appt and was on time. She listened to my concerns about changing a peninsula to a floating island to allow for more space in my sm kitchens. She pointed out that I would need to match existing tile or create a rug like pattern with similar tile. She also gave me ideas for saving money.

It was fantastic! She was prompt, professional, very informative! I am implementing all of her ideas and WILL see her again when we start the kitchen!!! We hired Kristy Thomas the owner of Kreative Design to come over to our house for a one hour color consultation.  I talked to her on the phone first and explained to her our situation, that we were remodeling our kitchen and painting the whole interior of our house and needed help picking out colors.  Prior to calling Kristy we received so many conflicting comments from family and friends we were becoming more and more unsure of what we were doing daily.  Kristy told us that colors were her speciality and that she would not let us make a mistake.  That made me feel confident.  When she arrived she asked us a bunch of questions about our home and remodel and had us give her a tour of the house so she could get a feel for our likes and dislikes.  Then she went to her color swatches and showed us what she thought we should use for our base color and told us why she thought that would be a good color.  We also told her we wanted a few accent walls and areas.  She picked out two more great accent colors and then looked around again and based on the architecture of the house picked out some areas and walls to highlight with accent colors.  My husband and I loved what she picked out, it was totally different than what we were leaning towards but we loved it much more.  She was excellent.  She also made suggestions on other areas of the house that she thought we should paint that we were not planning on painting.  For example I was planning on leaving my desk the way it was and it would have been a eyesore becasue the wood is old and didn't match our new kitchen cabinets.  She suggested painting it a certain color to match which would make the desk match and look new.  A very inexpensive idea. I really appreciated Kristy's honesty.  She followed up the next day with a email on how I thought the colors looked after painting samples on the wall.  I responded to her email that I didn't love one of the colors and she called me right back with a few other color suggestions.  I emailed her several more times with questions and she promptly emailed me back.  My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner.  I could have saved myself a lot of stress and money because I probably bought 20 samples from 5 different paint stores trying to come up with the perfect colors.  She did in 1 hour what I wasn't able to do in three months.  Save yourself the headache and hire Kristy right off the bat.  It is worth it.  I will defiantly use her again.
