Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
I think Ken did a great job on my addition to the house. And he doesn't mind change orders. You know how you might get ideas as you go along on how to improve the look and feel well I had a lot of those and he was always very accommodating. I went somewhat over my budget I'm glad I did because the job turned out excellent. And Ken is pretty good at communicating what he's going to do and what guys are coming to do what on any given day.

It definitely had it`s challenges with the existing house built in the 20s as far as the demo to remove the big kitchen walls into the new addition and major floor issues that we repaired for the new tile."

Ken and his crew did multiple jobs around my home and did an excellent job doing so. They added teal tile baseboards to my master bath and also to the rest of my bathrooms so they would all match. They installed a built in over, installed all new windows throughout my house also sliding glass doors to the back part of the house. His main purpose was to construct a new master bath but I had a few other tasks to do around the house and he was confident enough to take on these other jobs. The crew did a wonderful job I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Ken remodeled the master bedroom, which included new walls, ductwork, electrical construction. He also finished the work with painting trim, doors, flooring and carpeting work. The job was ~$10k. Ken and his team were very efficient and professional. Workmanship was excellent, with full county permitting, and the crew was conscientious about time and materials. Ken also accommodate a couple of small changes in stride. Ken and his team were very easy to work with.

My remodel, a small but complex renovation involving demolition, rewiring, masonry, ductwork, and painting, was done under County permit, in record time, neatly and proficiently (with one small exception which I was fortunately able to correct myself), with all construction detritus removed every day. Ken and his capable/experienced/amiable employees basically put on a seven-day remodeling "clinic" wherein a minimally utilized space underwent practically glitchless transformation into a useful workroom. Ken, with his decades of experience, encyclopedic knowledge of building codes, and expert grasp of structural and electrical engineering principles , maintains friendly, patient rapport, answers all questions, and explains and attends punctiliously to details. He moves quickly and meticulously, without seeming to hurry, and always toward an apparent internalized image of the completed work. Tucson is indeed quite fortunate to boast someone of this caliber willing to do small remodels rather than to solely build the gorgeous custom homes, seen on the KR website, which probably net him more funds and fame.

Ken's project management and attention to detail are fantastic. We have done several home improvement projects over the years but this was the first time the process went smoothly. Ken clearly communicated what we could expect during the project and delivered on his promises. He efficiently scheduled the subcontractors, closely monitored the quality of their work and made sure that they left the site neat and clean everyday. We would happily work with him again on a future projects.

Ken Roberts created the casita I imagined for my 85 year-old dad to spec. He worked with me closely to achieve the custom results I wanted. His sub contractors were qualified, respectful, and cleaned up after themselves. If you have a building project, do not hesitate to give him a call. He is honest, hard-working and very experienced, with great attention to detail.

Ken and his team were professional at all times. The construction was better than the original home builder. I watched both closely. They were neat; cleaned up everyday; and never short-cutted any step of the construction. The project was an addition to the main house that is my woodworking workshop. It is a pleasure to work in there and if I had to do it again I would in a heart beat. I don't see how to add pictures but I'm sure Ken also took some. With a bit of warning, I've told Ken that he is welcome to show the work to others. We're in Vail.

"This was not your typical wood working shop. It could be used as a custom built room of any type. Complete custom finished interior like you would see in a custom home such as his home. Custom lighting, bathroom, rear porch, custom finished epoxy floor and the exterior to match the home perfectly with stucco pop outs , concrete s tile roof etc."

We started out with a hand sketch from the client that did not work so we completed a new custom design & plans for his 1,600 sf custom design 2 bedroom , guest bath, master bath, full custom kitchen and 2 car garage. Custom interior finishes , Knotty Alder doors & jambs, custom made cabinetry by South Sun Cabinets, custom flooring, solid red brick exterior walls & more."

Ken was easy to work with and has a great lineup of contracts that do professional work, the only trouble I had with them is they broke my phone line 3 times in the process, However Centrylink has been great in coming out and repairing each time at no charge, I would strongly recommend KR Building for any construction project

We had a garage and dining room addition built. Ken's estimate was the best. Price the best, information properly laid out, stages of work clearly defined, subcontractors named. He is a well organized and reliable man, as well as having a pleasant personality. When issues arose during the work he always worked hard to get us just what we wanted. He is reasonable and cool. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
