At first, Ginny Huffman, the Broker/Owner, seemed nice to work with, but as time progressed, the situation went down hill. My first indication that something was wrong, was my first visit to her office when she informed me the air conditioning wasn't working in my rental. She stated the condenser was bad and needed to be replaced. The cost would be $1800. I reminded Ginny that I had a home warranty and she then recalled that I did(why did I have to remind her in the first place?). The warranty service fee for repair was $60 to replace the compressor start-up condenser. I know this because I called the AC company that did the repair. C ondenser has two meanings. It's a small component (also called the start-up capacitor) and is also the name for the entire large unit of the AC. Ginny made it sound as though the entire condenser unit was bad and not just the small part. Had I not been paying attention, I could have easily paid the $1800 to replace a Condenser Unit, when all that was necessary was to replace a small part. I believe that Ginny knew this was the case, and tried to make money dishonestly. After this incident, I could no longer trust Imagine Realty to do a good job. We finally parted ways, at Ginny Huffman's request, when I started questioning (understandably), everything she was doing. This was not a good experience and Imagine Realty seemed much more interested in making money from me than managing my rental with my best interests in mind while being fair to a tenant. I t should be noted I am absentee owner. I switched to Bidegain Realty, Inc. and am very happy with them.
Description of Work: This is a real estate and real estate management company. They managed my rental unit for the pretty standard fee of 10%/month of rents collected. Like most rental management companies, they screened, procured and collected rents from tenants. They also arranged for any necessary repairs, as reported by the tenant. I listed the approximate date of last contact, above, but I'm really not sure. It was awhile ago and I immediately tried to forget the bad experience.
