I have been using this locally owned company for 25+ years. They are prompt, professional and provide quality service. In 1988 I purchased a new swamp cooler and had it installed by another company - problems with this unit from the onset. Took nearly two years to get the problem resolved and that's when Heatwave came to my rescue . Heatwave installed the new swamp cooler and repaired the improperly installed electrical connections. So from 1990 to the present day I have exclusively used Heatwave. I eventually changed from swamp cooler to a combination a/c and heater unit (gas pac) which they installed in my current residence as well as a rental unit. Heatwave offers a preferred customer service that I have been using for many years - by prepaying for the routine twice yearly maintenance you go to the top of the list for service calls if you have a problem, discount on parts, and no after hour or weekend charges. This came in handy twice over the years as problems occurred on a weekend (never had a problem occur on a weekday!!!) They are all very friendly and respectful. They show up on time (within the time frame given) and do the work. Practically all the work they have done is routine maintenance because they come out at the beginning of the warm season to make sure the a/c is in good order and again at the beginning of the cool season to make sure the heater is in good order. Like my car, I think routine maintenance is a necessity to keep it going for many years. I could probably shop around and find someone maybe less expensive, but to me that's not worth the hassle. Heatwave does a fantastic job and I know it will be quality work.

Although this is the busiest time if the year for A/C problems, they responded within 2 hours of my initial call. I tried a number of services prior and they all said in a few days to respond. These people were concerned and cooperative with my problem and showed up and diagnosed / repaired the A/C within 30min. I am not easily impressed but these people were good.

As always, Heatwave did an excellent job. I have used this company for over 20 years for my house as well as my rental properties. They are prompt, professional and do quality work at a competitive price. They arrive when they say they will, have the supplies and equipment they need with them and use the time efficiently. I have only good words for Dan and his team.

Dan's son came and was right on time. He was quick to find the issue - I was horrified !! I had slime in my condenser tray.
He had just the thing and after cleaning out the system put antiseptic pads in the tray to keep the slime from growing and causing the overflow I was having, was kind and understanding that I was embarrassed and suggested it was due to the intake so close to my cat box.
I immediately covered the access point so no air from that area could be pulled into the air conditioner..
Heat wave has been providing services to my family for many years. My father introduced me to them after several years of good service in his household. I have asked them to help me several times with servicing and they cleaned and rebuilt a misconfigured heating unit so that it was more efficient they checked out my air conditioning while they were there.
I will have Dan come again and his son after he retires as long as they are in business.. I love these guys.

We met the Barrios in 2007 when our AC went out, in summer, at night, right after I got out of hospital with serious surgery. My husband called every number in phone book and Mr. Barrios promptly called back and sent his son and partner Daniel. In a few hours we had AC and our lifelong contractors!
When we purchased our current home the furnace had been improperly installed (before we bought it) and was full of mold! Daniel had to take it apart and wash it piece by piece.
If you have concerns about the contractors you employ, no worries here. PROFESSIONAL, prompt, courteous ,trustworthy and pleasant to be around! We had a general contractor doing repair on our current home and they were going to use their go-to guy but we only trust Heatwave. Family owned and they care about the customer.

Someone always calls to let me know the technician is on his way over, which I appreciate. As always, the tech was professional, friendly, and competent. He always explains exactly what is going on with the units, including what parts may be on their way out the following year. Daniel shut down my electric furnace, cleaned and prepared my evaporative cooler, replaced the pad, and generaly got it running for the summer. The bill was as predicted.

They are great. Very responsive, very professional. I don't hesitate to send them to a tenant's residence. They interact well with my tenants and fix whatever needs fixing so that the systems work correctly, the worksite is clean, and my tenants are happy.

The man from Heatwave arrived on schedule, the day after I had initially called him. He was courteous to me and was very tidy in doing the replacement. He disposed of the old unit for me and there were really no surprises. It cost what he had quoted and went in as promised. I would recommend this company.

They came once before and fixed the unit and only temporarily fixed it and made me think it was fixed. A month after they left, it went out while I was having a gathering. So they came back and replaced the thermostat and it works fine now. I would not use them again because they ripped me off the first time when they were supposed to have fixed it.
