The owner Bart, was often unavailable and seemingly detached whenever I would pick up my car after repairs were completed. He would be test driving other cars when I arrived, so details were often limited to invoice remarks. The two or three trips required to ultimately source and repair problems became quite inconvenient, and the labor costs were always at the high end of acceptable.
There seemed to be a lack of good business sense. I once returned to pick up my car after work was done on the cooling system, to find my gas tank nearly empty. Apparently Bart had taken the car on numerous road tests, but never found it necessary to at least put few gallons of gasoline in the tank so that I might safely get to a gas station on my way home from his shop. This was after paying another significant bill for work done on the car. Details like those seem to show a lack of good sense or concern for his loyal customer base.
I always seemed to have problems with the engine's cooling system, and had many costly repairs done at Bart's shop. Bart once decided to sub-contract work on the radiator. Shortly after the repairs were completed, I still noticed the engine was running too hot for my peace of mind. After assurances that they was no need for concern, the car overheated and ruined the engine, rendering the car useless. This was after nearly 12000 dollars of repair, replacement and upgrades completed over a three year business relationship.

They are great. They know what they are doing. They have excellent service and I am very happy with them.

While carrying a very heavy load in very cold weather, my 2006 BMW X5 went out of alignment and wore the inner sidewalls of the rear tires. Fearing that something other than the age of the tires and unusual conditions were at fault I brought the vehicle to Group one based on Google reviews in the Tucson area. Bart Lind, the owner, assessed the situation and recommended that I should probably replace all 4 tires based on the age (6 years) and wear.
I got 4 new tires and returned for my appointment at Motorwerks. They conducted a complete check of the suspension and trued up the alignment. They could find no defects that contributed to the issue. At the same time they reviewed the service history and recommend a service 1 and parts of service 2 as the vehicle had not been serviced in almost 18 months. Services were performed and the vehicle returned, washed and on time. I have experienced no further problems.
I was impressed by the professionalism and excellent attitude I found at Motorwerks.
