Gus did great work.

I installed a new outlet and the same thing happened.  He quickly found that the master bath outlet fed a load to the guest bath which happened to have a line voltage also.  He capped off the line voltage wires and tucked them behind the outlet in the guest bath.  He asked if I wanted him to replac the blown gfi and he said he only had almond colored gfi's on his truck. I told him no the I would run and get a new gfi and install it myself because my son would want the outlet to match the others.  He installed almond the outlet anyway and then charged me $14 for the outlet.  I had to buy a white one so it would match and feel it was a waste of money for him to install the almond one after I told him I did not want it.

There was a bad electrical connection and no power was at the ceiling box where the fan was being installed.   Gus had to trouble shoot the ceiling box and then the switch box at the wall and he found a neutral wire that was tucked way in the back and had never been installed from the time that the house was first built 10 years ago.  Once he found the problem, it was only a matter of minutes for him to make all the connections and get our new fan going.

We have used Gus several times over the years. He was referred by the company where we bought our ceiling fans. He has installed several fans and done a few other miscellaneous electrical jobs for us. He is prompt, thorough, experienced, friendly and his rates are very fair. As long as Gus is around, we will use no one else for electrical work.

Although the problem with the light fixture in the front yard could not be fixed without tearing up the front yard (the light was not wired correctly in the first place), Mr Salazar was thorough in his investigation.  I appreciated his honesty about the labor and effort involved in trying the find the wires that needed to be replaced for the faulty light fixture.

He is timely, confident, and personable.

They were able to schedule an appointment within a couple of hours of my call.  They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem.  Today (a Saturday) my power went out at 6:00 a.m. and they were the first to return my call.  The power went back on before he could get here and he didn't charge me anything even though he was very nearly at my house when I called him to tell him.  Also, he is the highest rated electrician in my HOA's Homeowner Helper Guide.  Both experiences with G&S were excellent.

I called Guz to relocate the wiring for the water heater that was relocating to the garage.  Guz installed a new junction box and moved the wiring to power the water heater.  He arrived at the time he promised and was professional.  He answered all my questions and completed the work on schedule.  He cleaned up his work areas inside the house as well as in the garage.

Gus is very professional and does excellent work at a fair price.   He reviews the work to be done, makes suggestions, and completes the work around my schedule. 

I was very happy with the work. The cost was very good - other bids ran as high as $1750. The bathroom fans required re-fitting the openings. The patio work required running new conduit and wiring, and the finished work looks fine and is unobtrusive. The only issue was that Gus wasn't punctual, and didn't call to let me know he'd be late. Given that the cost was half what others bid, I'd use G&S again.

Gus and his son were referred to me by my roofer, Gus called me the same day he got my number and showed up the next business day. I was fully expecting to need a service upgrade costing over $4000, Gus looked at my system and the problems we were having and was able to find the real problem in the breaker box, several breakers had melted and were causing loose electrical connections in the box. Gus went out and bought new breakers and I paid what he paid for them, he put them in and did a check of all other breaker boxes on the property. The work was done quickly and with quality. Gus and his son were knowledgeable and their pricing was more than fair. They could have gotten a huge sum of money out of me and I never would have known it was not necessary but they instead were honest and actually fixed my problem for a much lower cost. They were professional, honest, and I will be using them for ALL of my electrical needs in the future.

Gus has been prompt, professional and reasonable the three times that we've used him. He is an independent contractor and has been an electrician for over 30 years. The most recent job involved repairing a light fixture that was part of a ceiling fan that Gus had not installed. Gus had to go out to an electrical supply to get an esoteric part to finish the repair. He charged us only for the part - not for his time and gasoline running the part. In addition, he is a very nice man.

This project went very well. Gus replaced 2 bathroom fans, 1 ceiling light, 1 ceiling light/fan (old one was installed with the wrong electrical box), and 3 exterior lights, as well as doing new installation of 2 patio fans with lights. His estimate & final cost were 40-50% lower than what other electricians bid, and he did an excellent job. He patched the small areas which he had cut to install the new bathroom fans, which were larger than the originals. The only issue was that he didn't show up at the time agreed to, but once on site he worked hard without breaks to complete the work.

I have had G & S Electric do many jobs for us over the years and am very pleased with the service we receive and the people who give it. This work went without a hitch. I never have to worry about G & S because I know I will be treated well and I know their prices will be fair. I recommend them.

THEIR SCHEDULE IS VERY FULL AND ITS HARD TO GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO COME OUT, BUT ONCE YOU DO THEIR QUALITY OF SERVICE IS FANTASTIC. I HAVE ALSO RECOMMENDED THEM TO MY NEIGHBORS.
