It was a fast and reliable service.

I took close to a dozen competing proposals and bids to replace my non-functioning A/C-Furnace with a new unit. In my own research, I kept coming to the same advice: It isn't the unit you buy, it's the people who install it that matter. As such, it was important to me to find a company who I trusted to do the job right, not just the cheapest bid. Family Air came recommended to me from a relative, and ended up being one of the most competitive bids as well as being extremely professional. My A/C had kicked out right at the start of the "hot season" here in Arizona, and most companies were two weeks out when I contacted them. When I called and told them I was interested in going with their proposal I was informed that given my situation they could have a team there to do the install practically next day. The representative who helped me, Kurt Astorga, was extremely accommodating, willing to work with me and go the extra mile. It's been over a month now and the unit has been perfect so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of A/C install, repair, or maintenance.

The perfect service call. I found my A/C on the fritz when I got home Friday evening. It's an old unit and I expected the worst. I had a brochure from Family Air that I picked up from an advertising board at work. I checked Angie's List then immediately called Family Air. It was after hours but I got an answer anyway and was scheduled right in for Saturday. I live outside of town and was advised of the extra charge and time and a half for Saturday. That was OK by me. It's tough to find someone willing to come out my way for anything. Fidel called Saturday and said he could come out earlier then planned. He got here, asked about the problem, got right to it, found the problem right away, bad capacitor, had a replacement part with him, fixed it and that was that. I believe this is the first time I've ever dealt with a business that did everything right. Showed up early, was highly skilled, found the problem quickly, had parts on hand, fixed it and didn't try to upsell anything not needed. I've already told a couple people about Family Air and I will definitely call them for future problems or when a new unit is needed.

This company is so fantastic, I wish everyone in Tucson with heating and cooling needs would be their customer. Any contact with Family Air from the office ladies, Faith and Crystal, to Josh the technician has been a positive experience. Let me tell you how they saved me hundreds of dollars. I had two expensive estimates for repair work on my air conditioning unit. Then, I called Family Air. I had used them in the past and was always pleased. Josh came and inspected the unit. He said that the parts were still under warranty. The parts would be covered and the repair cost would only be for labor. The two other HVAC companies did not even bother to check on the warranty. Josh fixed it in a jiffy. Josh is genuinely courteous, very knowledgeable, and explains in layman’s terms how things work. He is respectful of my time and calls to tell when he is on his way or if he is running a little behind. Thanks for going the extra mile, Josh!

Great - Kevin was through and punctual. Rebekah in scheduling responded really quickly. I would hire them again.

He came and did a quick look and stated that air conditioning was over 10 years old and did not want to touch it. I got another guy to come and look and it was the filters were completely clogged and that was the problem. All he wanted was his money so he can leave.

Quick to answer my request even after business hours. Came the next day right on time and fixed my AC. Friendly and willing to answer all my questions while the work was being done

Tim was on time, he is always polite and very knowledgeable.  

Arrived when they said they would. Very courteous and professional. Checked AC and realigned cooler fan.

No pressure.   Enjoyed the expereience

Diagnosed problem as problem with circuit board and ordered new board. At time of installing new board claimed supplier had shipped wrong board which he did not verify at time of receipt and could not complete repair. Family Air took no steps to correct the problem or expedite a repair and we were forced to make other living arrangements. I would not consider Family Air a professional or competent choice for air conditioning or heating repair.

Family Air is great --responded even though I was out of town and had to pay later for the service.  They are reliable and responsible!

Instal went smoothly and quickly as mentioned above.  They cleaned up after themselves.

The installation went well, except there were issues with the AC compressor.  The installers could not fix the issues, so a tech came out about a week later to diagnose and repair the problem.  It turned out not to be a part or anything with the system itself, but rather, a (probably pre-existing) issue with the wiring under our house, between the thermostat and the system.  The tech figured it out, crawled under our manufactured home, found the problem, and restrung or replaced the entire wire run at no extra charge to us.  I feel this was "above and beyond" and indicates Family's excellence in knowledge and service.  I later went under the house myself (for other reasons), and found the problem they found (a wire squeezed by the home metal frame, causing a short, the wire not being movable, so it was not repairable).  In my opinion, this was not an easy problem to find, so I am very impressed that the tech located it and knew what to do to fix it.
Our system is working properly, no issues with the heat.  Have not used the AC but have turned it on and it is cooling.  
I would like to also single out Kurt Astorga for his excellent customer service in bidding the job and then scheduling it.  I also want to thank the company owner for his willingness to help us find an affordable alternative to a new system.  By selling us a "like new" unit, we were able to get a good system for less money, while at the same time helping them get a system sitting "out back" in their lot out of their way.  Win win.
I would definitely recommend Family Air.  I originally heard of them from my realtor Sonoita Realty Kathy O'Brien, so Family has good word of mouth around here.

family air did a very good job.  they were here early in the mornings and worked throughout the day.

Very well!  My house is old, with old house quirks that were all dealt with.  Their work was coordinated with a total roof replacement and their part went well.  The employees are personable, communicative and friendly.  The owner, Jim, did much of the work himself.  I recommend Family Air to anyone who needs similar work. 

Just fabulous.   Of course the air conditioner decides to break just hours before the Labor Day weekend begins (Friday at 3:30).  They were able (and more importantly willing) to come out yet that evening to at least bypass the broken circuit board so we had air through the weekend until the new board could be installed.  We were so pleased and relieved.

It was good. I thought they were reasonable. The quality was good.
