Dr. Barry Kusman from Eye Institute fixed my eye, I don't have cataracts anymore. They were great. He personally called my house each afternoon after he had done the procedure. He was very careful to answer my questions and explain any queries I had. He's a very nice guy. I was very pleased with his staff and they were very professional. It was a very short treatment, it was five minutes. I really liked him, he's really very nice and I was impressed with his staff. It's a great place. The staff was very nice and very kind. They were wonderful.

The appointment went faster than anticipated, there was a short wait for the doctor but it was estimated the exam would take 2-3 hours and it took an hour from walking in the door to leaving the doctors office

He is very nice and professional. I have used the Eye Institute of Southern Arizona, now known as Southwestern Eye, for several years now. Dr. James Goldman, a former eye surgeon, performed my cataract surgery 3 or 4 years ago. The doctors and techs are very knowledgeable and caring. My favorite eye doctors in Tucson. I'll be going back in July, 2014 for my 6 mos. checkup.

Initial contact was with a highly skilled technician who assessed my condition and provided a set of notes to Dr. Rollins. Dr. Rollins then analyzed my symptoms and quickly concluded that my issue was allergy related. The Doctor then prescribed a course of therapy that was understandable and directly on point. All in, a very positive experience. I highly recommend both the practice setting and Dr. Rollins.

For five weeks I had had soreness, heavy pain 24/7 with continuous watering in the inboard corner of my right eye. Along with these symptoms, there was a constant headache. I first went to my primary care doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic ointment. After a week, the pain was getting worse, so I called my primary again. They immediately made an appointment for me with Dr. Barry Kusman of the Eye Institute.
Dr. Kusman was empathetic, with a good and quot;bedsideand quot; manner. He took time to show me diagrams of the eye area and explain the problem - I had a clogged Lacrymal Duct, known as the and quot;tear ductand quot;, which drains tear fluid from an opening in the inside of the lower eyelid through a duct and into the nasal cavity. Mine was blocked somewhere down in the duct.
Dr. Kusman explained the steps we would go thru to clear the duct, from least invasive up. First, he prescribed eye drops containing a steroid plus an antibiotic to reduce swelling, inflammation and possible infection. After a week, when that did not clear the blockage, he tried to flush the obstruction out of the duct by directly forcing a fluid thru it. The obstruction did not flush through, but I could tell it had moved somewhat. Although I still had continuous heavy pain with headache and watering of the eye, the nature and location of the pain had changed.
24 hours later, the symptoms began to rapidly decrease, and within an hour I was symptom free. Obviously the blockage had passed - thanks to Dr. Kusmans' treatment. (I now have a new definition of and quot; How Do You Spell Reliefand quot;.) The next step would have been surgery requiring general anaesthesia.
If Dr. Kusman were a woman, I would kiss him!

He is excellent. He is the only one to go to in my opinion. He is a busy doctor, but he would get us in, in case of an emergency. He is really good about that.

They refused to treat her even though we have been with those people for twenty years.
