First, it started with them calling us out of the blue and wanting to move up our time. We felt rushed. Before they came into the house, I asked them to cover the TVs, furniture, and washer and dryer and be careful with those items. None of those items were covered. Jason said "Don't worry about. We put the TVs between mattresses so they are protected." My wife Maria asked ahead of time if they had experience with high end items and they said yes. My 64" plasma TV has several cracks throughout the entire screen and my 54" plasma has several scratches on the screen. The owner will come to the house and make an assessment later today.
Response from Excel Movers
"Customer had two unpacked tv,s that we're damaged in residence by a item that fell against them.all furniture items are padded when they are taken to truck, damage occurred before they were moved. Customers were paid 10 times federal mandated claim amount .1200 dollars was paid to owners for damage"

The movers packed up my house for a local move. The same day, they delivered to new house. Set up beds, moved furniture where i wanted and put most of the boxes in the appropriate room. As I emptied boxes, they picked them up. They even came by to move furniture around in a room after I decided I didn't like the initial setup. Customer service went even above all of that. I accidentally left a crystal vase in a box they picked up but one of the employees apparently searches all of the returned boxes back at the warehouse. They brought me the vase the next day. I absolutely love their service. They took great care of my belongings during the entire process.

.1. No call to confirm they were planning to be there. I had to call them to make sure they were coming and THEN the owner said they were going to be about an hour and a half late. Good thing I called.
2.In the beginning my first instructions were that 2 things were most important: # 1 The new wood floors in my new home were protected and carefully moving my piano which is THE family heirloom and they damaged both; they tried to take the piano around a no-brainer tight corner in the old house when clearly they could have gone straight out the side door- (because that's how I got it in there.) and that's when they scratched up the front......... and then they tipped it up on end! Anyone who moves pianos knows you NEVER do that! They scratched the front of this beautiful cherry wood 60 year old pristine Gulbransen piano and when I saw it I was devastated. They had gone back to the house for the remaining items and I stayed at the new house trying to make sense of the mess of boxes. My husband was at the house and gave me the report on what they tried with the piano........When they got it here and I saw the damage I was dismissively told not be emotional and they would take it and have it fixed. I said I would not be letting them take it anywhere after the treatment of everything else I witnessed. I asked at the beginning for them to shrink wrap all the wood furniture and was told it wasn't necessary and they they would pad everything so they refused to shrink wrap ANYTHING even though I had a ton of it there to do the job. I will be having the piano tuned now and the wood repaired if possible and will send them the bill. I could never leave the decisions with them on how to get these repairs done. They also broke a lamp and made several excuses assuming the " quality " or age of a lamp that would break- again dismissive. The owner excused the breakage telling me it was old and I told him actually it is only 2 years old and it is part of a pair- which I do not have a pair of anymore!
My concerns about the floors when I asked that things not be set down until we put floor protectors on were at best dismissive and they were clearly annoyed. The owner and one younger guy whom I was told was his son was very dismissive about my concerns and in the end my complaints. the owner denied the guy was his son- however he had referred to him as his son to another person here helping me- so who knows?
The owner offered no reduction in the cost and I didn't ask for one- that wasn't the point. Their attitude about the damages and the fact that they even occurred was my issue- no financial compensation can even begin to resolve my issues with them.
Needless to say I would NEVER use them again and certainly never recommend them. I scored them reasonable with regard to price but in the end I would gladly have paid a lot more not to have had the damage. I haven't even unpacked a lot of fragile items yet but feel I probably better get to it because I am not optimistic there won't be more damage- from the looks of the pile of boxes- heavy boxes on top of boxes marked "fragile" it was definitely a substandard job- very sad- and they came recommended by 2 Realtors I know and as I Realtor myself- I trusted that. Big mistake!

They picked up her stuff and delivered it. They moved the items where needed. We are pleased with the service and this is the third time we have used them for this service. They were very friendly and patient during a stressful move.

Between my mom and me, we have used them three times in seven years. We have extremely heavy, expensive furniture and they are very careful with it. They are prompt and efficient. They have packed things twice out of the three moves. They are friendly, and they go out of their way. For my elderly mom, they hooked up her cable, and took extra care with her houseplants. They were very nice, kind, and careful. I would use this provider again.

It went really well. They had to make two trips. They were very professional and fun to work with. They worked for 12 hours which was the whole day. They were very careful with my stuff. They were very good and very affordable. I would highly recommend them to anybody in this area.

The moving crew showed up at the first house at the time arranged. They efficiently loaded the appliances into the truck and delivered them to my house. They called to advise me that they were on the way to the first house. When they moved the appliances into my house they were knowledgable about the best way to get them in and out. They had the appropriate tools and equipment to do so safely and efficiently. The crew members (3) were very pleasant in their demeanor.

They were efficiant and everything came in perfect condition. It is a very small company, with about 3 or 4 employees. He stays busy, but he always calls me back. He showed up on time in Tucson and was even early to arrive in Long Beach. He was the lowest quote with no additional charges. If you want someone dependable for your move, use Excel Movers!
