ESO Landscaping

We liked the original work, but they had no follow through on their warranty. They are horrible with communication and call backs. It took many months to complete the work they did do.  They didn't quite finish with all of the concerns we had, so we ended up having to do it ourselves.

The contractor installed all the above items.  When the work was finally done, it looks nice and we really like the pavers around the pool area.  When the contractor was there, his crews worked quickly and efficiently to get work done.  Our pool contractor recommended ESO.  The pool company is a large established company.  My issue with ESO is timeliness or lack there of.  We repeatedly had to contact them to get them to finish the project as stipulated in original bid.  One item we contracted for, they failed to install owing that they wanted more money to do the work-they were to install walkway paving steps along the north side of the house.  We will either contract with another landscape company or do it ourselves.  A couple items were wrong for the project, like LPG tank holder in BBQ island 3 drawer cabinet that was built for natural gas supplied by home.  They finally put correct cabinet in with access to gas shut off valve-kind of hard to maintain BBQ when there wasn't a way to shut off intake valving.  Also it would have been nice to actually have electricity to rotisserie and light at BBQ.  Oops-it only took repeated calls to get that oversight fixed.  Then the fire ring in the fire pit was installed wrong.  It's ok now.  Then the tile work on the top of the BBQ island broke due to bad fill beneath the tile and the weight of the BBQ grill.  They painted the fire pit and BBQ in the wrong color when we specified it had to match house color and we gave them the Sherwin Williams paint can with color codes.  They finally repainted it.  If you want mediocre service and can wait till hells about to freeze over for completion, you definitely want these guys to do your project.  The only person on the crew that gave 200% was a guy named Domingo.  If he was running the show, I wouldn't be writing this review.  If someone else, reading this, doesn't agree and feels ESO did a 100% capable job, my hats off to you and I'm happy for you.  In our case, ESO didn't perform to our expectations.  We moved from the Pacific Northwest and with experience in landscape contractors expected similar performance from companies down in AZ.  Perhaps there are.  I hope so or, being retired, I may have to start my own service and watch many other companies go by the wayside.  I don't mind and appreciate excellent service.  Good luck to you, in finding that service.  Ron
