Brent installed the skylight within a half an hour.....couldn't have asked for a quicker turnaround. He was very pleasant to deal with, too.

Excellent service: friendly, professional, punctual.

Our kitchen skylight began profusely leaking during a steady December rain. After reviewing the listings and reports on Angie's list, I decided to call Desert Skylights. I left a message describing our problems. Brent Olsen returned my call in a short period of time. After describing the problem to him, Mr. Olsen said that it was possible that the weap holes, designed to allow water to drain out the bottom of the metal skylight frame, could be blocked resulting in water having no place to go but inside. He also said that he would try to get out the next day, a Friday, to check out the problem (rain was again forecast for the next day or two), but that he already had jobs scheduled for Friday, and it would depend on how quickly he could complete those jobs on whether he would be able to get to our house. The next afternoon, Mr. Olsen called and said that he hadn't been able to finish his other jobs in time to get to our house before dark, but he could come out the next morning (a Saturday).
As promised, Mr. Olsen arrived on Saturday morning, and he was quickly able to determine that the problem was most likely with the weap holes being blocked as he suspected might be the case. Mr. Olsen produced 2 tools that he used to quickly open the drain holes and dirty water began dripping out of the frame. He said that it was very likely that this would take care of the problem, but if it didn't and he had to come back, he wouldn't charge another service call fee. He then went ahead and checked each of the other skylights to make sure that all the drainage holes in them were open, and he opened several of those also.
Great service and quite a bargain for only the cost of his service fee of $95.00. Especially, when I had initially been sure that the entire skylight would have to be replaced.

Brent Olson was easy to reach, and showed up on time for what I thought would be an estimate. He has vast experience and knows what he's doing. When he established that the dome was all that needed to be done, he went out to the truck, got the correct dome and installed it. It took 30 minutes total for the entire visit. On top of that, he's a nice laid-back, people-friendly guy.

Brent did a great job! He explained how and why the old skylights cracked, what our options were in choosing replacements, he got them in on time and installed them -- no problems.

Brent really went above and beyond for me. He removed both domes and cleaned the outer dome for me. Then when he went to install the inner dome that I had purchased from the window store, he found that it was cracked. He had the window store on speed dial on his cell phone and got them on the phone for me. They had another dome in stock. Brent went to pick it up himself. It turned out that the dome they gave him was overblown and would not fit, so he re-installed my outer dome and told me to reschedule with him when I had a dome that would work. I re-ordered an inner dome from the window store and Brent came back to install it when it came in a few days later. He only charged me $30 for the 2nd trip. He did a great job with the install.

I FIRST CALLED THEM BECAUSE THERE WAS A CRACK IN ONE OF MY SKY LIGHTS, THEY DID SUCH A GOOD JOB, I HAD HIM REPLACE TWO OF MY OTHER SKY LIGHTS, AND HE WORKED ON A PRICE FOR ME.
