D & H Air Conditioning

D&H service is uneven. On June 28 a serviceman told us that a air conditioning coil part needed to be replaced. We learned two weeks later that the park was back-ordered. We received no D&H call-backs as to when the part would be available. August 16 I learned the part had been delivered to D&H and I was told that installation would take an entire day. I scheduled installation for 7 a.m. August 25 when my wife would be home to let the repairman in. Seven a.m. Friday: no technician. Eight and we were told he was on his way. Half an hour later and he phoned he was in front of our house and had "something to do' outside. Nine and D&H called my wife when she would be home. By ten a.m. the technician arrived at our house saying that his dispatcher had rerouted him jto a wrong address where he had drained the freon from an absent homeowners AC, then had to replace it (free of charge). In order to finish the repair on-time D&H had to send a second serviceman. Repair was complete by 4:15 p.m.: the coil was covered and we were charged $600 for the freon recharge. In the end D&D did make the repair. Was it timely or well executed: 'No'. We have experienced other uneven service from this company, usually requiring them to send out another technician to repair the damage of the first. I do not know if their customer service is comparable to other Tucson HVAC. We paid $12,000 five years ago for a new AC unit that runs very well until it doesn't.

I have a service contract with Sears and they sent me a company called D&H Air Conditioning. They do like the preventive maintenance on the heating and air conditioning. You get a free heating and air conditioning inspection once a year. They were polite, they made an appointment, and came when they said they were coming.

Fernando did a wonderful job, above and beyond what was expected.  I requested that the replacement part be sent over-night express and agreed to the associated fee.  Unfortunately, the company sent the incorrect part, so there was a delay of several days while the correct part was sent.  Fernando had told me that as soon as the part was received, he would be back to install it and that's exactly what he did.  I've been with D&H since 2000 and their service has always been excellent, with very professional and personable technicians.  Fernando is a prime example of their skilled and helpful technicians.  He explained in terms I could understand what was wrong, what was needed to fix the problem, and even showed me the defective motor and why it wasn't working.  Since the manufacturer sent the incorrect part and there was a delay, D&H refunded the fee for the expedited shipping.  Another great example of their excellent customer service.  I would recommend D&H to anyone needing heating or air conditioning service.  A local company who understands what quality customer service is all about.

I learned about this from another professional who went into the attic to check on some piping. Also did a sloppy job with sealant around duct cover in my office bathroom. Can't really remember how much the service cost but it was not cheap - no deal.

I had several companies out for a bid, and Rick from D and J was very personable and asked some of the best questions about my desires and requirements for a new system. He did a proper heat load calculation and proposed based on my desired outcomes the fully-communicating Carrier GreenSpeed heatpump as well as some ductwork modifications that would utilize the existing registers but improve airflow to the far end of the house, even though doing so would be more work for the installers, and he let me know the complexities of the install would likely be a multi-day event. It ended up taking 3, which was his estimate.
I had Ed and Ed as my install team-- they came out on time each day, and were very professional. I had done some research on what a proper install entailed, and I saw none of the and quot;red flagsand quot; I had read about with poor installs. They flowed nitrogen while brazing, used proper wet mastic to seal the ducts, and were very adept at metalworking and fabricated the transitions on-site for the new ductwork into my non-standard existing vents. They took the time to make sure that the equipment was not just correctly connected, but looked good too-- there was quite a bit of thought put into how to situate the refrigeration lines on both the exterior and interior for the cleanest appearance. In addition to being skilled, they were also friendly-- answering all of my questions about refrigeration that I had and even explaining why some things were done without prompting once they realized I was interested.
I am very happy with the equipment, and was very happy with the install which is the most critical part to ensure longevity. I am very confident that the system will outlast its warranty and provide me with years of energy savings and comfort.

Excellent. It is such a pleasure to have a company that responds in a timely manner and has service personnel that radiate integrity and are willing to take the time to explain things and help you understand what you're spending money on. A very pleasant experience.

The installers showed up ontime and were very professional. They advised me the whole way on what they were doing and did not mind me watching or asking questions. There was a minor glitch that the installers had to figure out but they did a really great job at making my whole system work out. I will use this company again in the future.

They always arrive on time, and do a through job of checking the air and heating system. When problems have come up they have always been responsive and fixed the problem in a timely manner. On a couple of occasions, the problem required extensive investigation. they stuck with the problem until it was solved.

They were very responsive and my tenant was very pleased. They were professional and punctual.
