Craig provided creative ideas and incorporated our wants and wishes into a wonderful remodel.  His attention to details was fantastic.  He treated our entire project as though he was working on his own home.  He stuck to his schedule and everything was completed on time.  Any subcontractor that Craig hired was just as reliable as Craig. Also, when a subcontractor was onsite, Craig was onsite.  I can't say enough about how wonderful our total remodel experiences have been working with Craig and how totally satisfied we have been with the end result.  We highly recommend him for any project - small or large.  We continue to contact him for projects at our home.

In many ways, all went very smooth.  Everything was coordinated very nicely and when I asked for something to be changed, construction slowed to give me a chance to make new decisions.  We assumed there would be unforeseen hiccups and issues that would present themselves during the construction project, and there were; such as adding in additional registers for the heating and air conditioning which changed the shape of one bedroom but allowed for better air flow throughout the house (something I would never have thought of); adding additional electrical outlets for ceiling fans in every room; ceilings in showers were raised after the fact, as I wanted more height.  Some of the changes and hiccups were because I was uncertain and couldn't make up my mind about a number of things such as "should I put in a tub here or a shower?  How many recessed lights do I want and where should I position them; Do I install tile flooring or concrete overlay?  Countertop material is pricey.  Where should I put my money?"  Craig helped us with the costs so we could make better decisions.  He also offered ideas and expertise from his many years in construction and then I also consulted other designers opinions and from there made the best decisions I could.

From the beginning Craig has always had a relaxed professionalism about him, available for any questions or concerns we had, very straight forward, and honest, bringing clarity and focus as well as a realistic approach as to what is possible and practical within the budget we were working with.  Our job was to remember to relax and be reasonable, and to appreciate and focus on all the things that were going along very well, and not to fall off our perch when something appeared to go askew.  Its okay to be a bit demanding and clear about what is wanted, but do have clarity on the true costs for the work to be done from the beginning allowing for wiggle room for changes along the way and unforeseen surprises, such as something in the plumbing or electrical that would be best to replace.  When picking out lighting fixtures, there are big differences in prices and quality between lighting stores and home depot.  So be alert to these things and then consult with Craig Coryell to bring it all together!
