It was a dream come true to "finally" find a company with skill, knowledge and integrity! The workers showed up on time, were quick with completionm of work and extrememly courteous. As a former owner of a new construction clean-up company, I have seen and experienced a ton of promises with little follow through. Anyone who hires Connect Electric will be over the moon pleased. I won't use anyone else now as they simply would not measure up.

Tim was on his phone quite a bit, they took a break before deciding they were finished, and he rounded up their hours in the charges. I was hoping that since all five ceiling fans were the same, the work would go faster and the charges would be lower. Tim then informed me after replacing just one of the five ventilation/exhaust fans I wanted replaced that he does not like replacing exhaust fans, but could have someone else come back to replace the exhaust fans at a later time. I also discovered later that his helper must have dropped one of the ceiling fan blades (I heard him cussing loudly), leaving some damage, but failing to inform me. This was not as positive an experience as the previous work I had Connect Electric perform. I would hire Tim again in the future, but I would want some assurance that my experience would be better.

I had John Fortier recommended by the company I purchased my fans from. I called Tim and set it up. Prior to the appointment I called John multiple times for recommendations on light switches and other info, he was courteous and very willing and able to help answer all of my questions and concerns. On the day of the appointment, John and his techs arrived right on time, very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and told me if I had any problems, they'd come back (which I haven't, everything works great).
Super great, lots of experience. I would gladly do business with again and now this is the only company I recommend for electrical work.

Tim was referred to me by someone at Westerner Products on Grant Rd. I contact them frequently for referrals for help with my mobile home problems. I had been without cooling for 2 or 3 days when it was extremely hot outside. Tim came out, got my cooler going and I was very grateful.
I think that I have finally found an electrician that I can count on. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and competent. I would heartily recommend him. I have some other work to be done and I will be calling him soon.
I have been cool ever since! Thank you, Tim.

My husband and I purchased a ceiling fan and a 72and quot; downrod from Sonlighting in Tucson, and the saleswoman recommended Tim Heim of Connect Electric to us. I called Tim Heim and told him that our ceiling is approximately 25 feet high and that our neighbors have confirmed to us that the builder prewired it for both a ceiling fan and a light. Tim asked me if we had any steps either outside or inside of the house as he would prefer to use his scissor lift to reach the ceiling for the install. I confirmed to him that there were no steps to navigate, and he gave me a quote of $275 to install the ceiling fan. We scheduled the installation date. I called Tim a couple of days before the appointment and informed him that I had accidentally knicked an electrical wire during the process of cutting a hole in the drywall of our garage walls for a project that my husband and I had just completed. Tim and his helper performed an excellent job. I had had United Electric out to do some work for us in the past (see previous review) and they had apparently failed to catch a loose wire in one of the 3-way light switches in our upstairs hallway. My husband came home from work and he was very pleased with the work and the price. One of the things that initially impressed me about Connect Electric is that they OWN the equipment, the scissor lift, they needed for this job. Other companies I had talked to about installing a ceiling fan in our family room in the past had told me that they would have to rent scaffolding, or that I would have to rent the scaffolding myself. That was a turnoff for me as it opened up an opportunity for something to go wrong.

My husband and I bought 4 ceiling fans from Sun Lighting in Tucson, Arizona. We needed an electrician to install all of them. Sun Lighting gave us Tim Helm's name at Connect Electric in Tucson. I called Tim and explained our needs to him. He gave me a quote over the phone to complete all of the installations for us. We hired him because his prices seemed fair. A couple of days before he was due to come to our home, he called and spoke with my husband and said that he might not be coming himself, but would send 2 other guys. Later when I returned home, and I heard about the phone call from my husband; I called Tim and told him that we hired HIM to do the job, not some other guys. He then said, that he would be there with the other guys to complete the job. On April 17, 2012, Tim showed up with 2 other men. All 3 of them worked on installing the 4 ceiling fans and 4 LED light bulbs. They seemed to know what they were doing. After Tim installed the fan on our patio, I noticed a discoloration on the side of the unit. He said that he didn't notice it. I suggested to him that he show the homeowner each fan BEFORE installing it. I spoke with Sun Lighting and they planned on ordering a new fan for our patio. Tim Helm seemed irritated that he would have to come back to our home to install the new fan. A few days later, the ceiling fan in our great room stopped working. We called Tim and let him know of the problem and also notified Sun Lighting. By then, we also had a high pitched noise from our bedroom ceiling fan. It was obvious to me after phone conversations with Tim Helm, that he DID NOT want to come to our home to check his installation of our great room fan. He wanted to wait until Sun Lighting had received their orders for new patio and bedroom fans for us. I told him that I wanted him to come out to check the great room fan to see why it had stopped working, because he needed to guarantee his work. He REFUSED TO COME!! The next day, my husband and I went to Sun Lighting to discuss the different problems with our fans. They confirmed that they were ordering new fans for our patio and bedroom, which Tim Helm would then need to come and install. They agreed at Sun Lighting that Tim should come out right away and check the installation of the great room fan. Our sales person at Sun Lighting made a phone call to Tim Helm while we were in the store. She told him that he needed to stand behind his work and go to our home and check that fan. He REFUSED and I again came to the phone and told him that this was unacceptable! He continued to REFUSE TO COME OUT TO OUR HOME!! Our sales person was shocked at his behavior, because Sun Lighting had recommended him to us, and had recommended him to other customers in the past. We couldn't believe how unprofessional and unethical he was! Due to Connect Electric's and Tim Helm's refusal to stand behind his work, Sun Lighting's owner told us that they would have their own electrician, John, come to our home and take care of any problems with the fans. John did make 2 trips to our home, and eventually replaced or corrected all problem fans. I respect Sun Lighting's professionalism throughout all of this. IF ANYONE NEEDS AN ELECTRICIAN, DO NOT HIRE TIM HELM AT CONNECT ELECTRIC AT 937 W. LOS ALAMOS, TUCSON, ARIZONA 85704. PHONE # 520-977-4356.

Response from CONNECT ELECTRIC
"Wow! What a shocker! The conversation I remember is that there was definitely something wrong with the fans, and I explained to Member that there was no reason for me to come up to their home until we received new fans. When they called me from Sun Lighting, we talked about procedure, which is to order new fans, I would pick them up from Sun,deliver them to their house in Saddlebrooke, remove the bad fans, pack them in the boxes the new fans came in, install the new fans free of charge, and return the bad fans under warranty. Somewhere something went wrong with the communication process. I later talked to the owner of Sun Lighting and John at Sun Lighting and, considering the situation, we thought it best that John return to their home and install the new fans because of his ability to deal with problem fans, has direct lines to factory engineers, and the problems were factoy defects, not installation related. They say there are two sides to evey story. If you want to here a third side, feel free to call the owner of Sun Lighting at 520-322-4303 or John at 520-304-6160. Incidently we are STILL RECOMMENDED by Sun Lighting. Sincerly Tim Helm owner of Connect Electric."

Excellent. He and his workers were very courteous and were able to fix a botched electrical installation. The track lighting was not approved and he was able to bring the wiring up to code.
