I contacted Cervantes Roofing and Steve came out and assessed the damage. I was scheduled for a roof repair. I had to wait a couple weeks until someone could come out and fix my roof. The company was very observant to my needs and the fact that no rain was forecast within that time frame. So, waiting wasn't an issue with me. I found Steve to be exceptional in diagnosing my roof problem and his staff were very polite and responsive to any questions I had. The worker who came to my house was very polite and he checked with me before and after he made the repairs.

The team did a great job. I would use them again. They showed up on time, completed the work over a three day period (as planned) and cleaned up the site when they left. Everyone with very friendly, as well. I shopped around and received bids from 5 companies before I selected this firm. Several companies on Angie's list with Grade A ratings gave me bids which were more than double the bid from this company for the exact same work. So be careful and shop around, but make sure that you call Steve and get a quote before you select a roofing company.

I have a tile roof and Steve replaced a part of it where water was leaking in.  He also went over all of my roof to see if there was any issues and told me everything else checked out okay.
I am very happy with his work and trust that he always does a good job.  I have had him before when I had chimney leaks and he fixed it and I have had no problems afterward.
I would hire Steve and his crew again.  I found him to be honest, detailed and he always does a good job to the best of his ability.
Sometimes, it takes a while to get scheduled in but his company is well worth waiting for.

From the start everyone was very professional. The scheduler returned our call in a timely manner. The estimator was punctual, friendly, and willing to give us the estimates we requested. Though they are very busy and booked, they were willing to give us a variety of days they could do the work to accommodate my busy schedule. The workers were punctual, courteous, and very patient with all the questions and concerns we had. They took the time to explain what they were doing and would do to make the changes we needed. The job was completed the next day. We found their cost to be comparable to other companies. We will definitely call them again when needed and refer them to friends and family.

My only complaint is that it took them awhile to get the job started.  They were busy, so I had to be patient.  Otherwise, all went very well.  The price was fair.  Nice crew.

They replaced the cooler elbow and sleve due to corrosion, replaced some damage wood and pointed out some concerns. The company's working crew are very steady hard workers. It took three days to complete the job as promised and every day, the crew cleaned up the yard and left it as it was found the very first day. We would recommend this company to anyone that needs to have roof repair or replaced.

I was very happy with their service, price, and their professionalism. He also helped me by recommending a company to help with my air conditioning. I was very appreciative.

Gripe: Took two months of unanswered phone calls/messages to schedule the work after the estimate was provided. Once scheduled, the work was done on time, quickly, and for agreed upon price. Quality - can't really evaluate until we get a good rain, although I have no particular doubts.

Cervantes provided an estimate that was $3,000 less than another well-recommended company on Angie's List. Overall, the quality of the roofing work was fine, but there were several hiccups worth noting. These kept me from giving an A rating. For starters, there were several delays in the project. Initial work was delayed 1 week due to weather and a second week due to Mexican Independence Day. Once the project began, most of it was done rapidly, but then things slowed down. After several days of no work I called and asked when the final acrylic coat would be done and loose ends completed. Steve (Sr.) came out and we agreed on the requirements. Most of the work was done shortly, but the crew basically disappeared leaving the TV cables (from the roof) draped across the yard. The crew also used galvanized flashing along the roof edges although all of the roof trim is generic brown, the same brown that a home improvement store sells its flashing in. Thus, at the completion of this project I had to paint about 100 ft of galvanized flashing to match my roof trim and I had to return the cables to the roof. The good news was that the office took another 3 weeks to send the final bill. Steve Sr. told me that Cervantes is now run by his son and that (despite a really lousy construction market in Tucson during the fall of 2008) they were quite busy. Good news for them and, I suspect, a testimonial to Steve Sr's customer relations skills. However, I have the impression that the company is going through some transitions and would advise those needing a new roof to either consider other options or at least clarify expectations at the beginning. As I said, the price was fair and the final work seems good, so maybe my experience just had some unusual events.

Steve and his crew did an excellent job and worked with us both in how we approached the project and how we staged it.

Were a little slow in putting the final coat on, but did fine. They replaced some wood and they fixed the problems we were having.

After a near record wet 2006 summer we have had not one problem with the new roof (completed in May, 2006, prior to monsoons). This company did an excellent job from start to finish, including cleanup. Maria, whom I was in contact with before and during the job, was so wonderful and helpful with all of my questions and concerns as the job was being done on an older house that we were in contract on. We had numerous bids from other companies, but felt the most comfortable with Cervantes and we are very pleased with our decision and their great job (price and quality). We will definitely utilize them for continued maintenance on the roof.
