I presently have 4 cats under their care and they cared for my older cats and helped them over the rainbow bridge when it was time. They are very compassionate and kind.

I moved to Tucson in September 2013 and chose Tucson Cat Hospital and Dr.Keyes in part through Angie's List. My aging cat, Rennie, had a variety of chronic issues that had to be monitored as well as several short term problems.
The reception staff was always helpful in person or on the phone. The techs were professional and listened to my explanations carefully and handled him carefully even though he could be a less than polite patient. Dr.Keyes always provided options that included both the medical and financial options.
Rennie's health improved under there but one of the chronic conditions progressed to the point I had no options left that were affordable and we switched to palliative care. When his condition worsened I had to take him in on short notice on Dr.Keyes day off. They do provide home euthanasia but it wasn't possible on such short notice. Everyone involved in his final moments were very compassionate, quiet, respectful, we were given all the time needed to say good bye and the Dr.Olsen explained what she was doing at each step and while this was not an easy process she made it easier than it could have been.
If I had wanted to they would have billed me rather than pay then which might have been a good choice for some people. They would also have handled his remains any way I wanted had I not brought him home for burial.
Today I received a condolence card from the practice.
When I get another feline companion I will bring him/her to the people of the Tucson Cat Hospital.

I took my cat there for several years until she had to be euthanized. I sometimes wondered about her handling when the techs would take her in the back for tests. Dr. Minta was very nice although sometimes the wait in the room was long. I don't remember the different costs.

We called to schedule a yearly appointment. The appointment was scheduled for our convenience (we live about 25 miles away so like to do multiple things on one trip). We arrived at the appointed time and after a short wait were called back to be seen by the veterinary assistant - temperature, weight, etc. We then waited for the veterinarian maybe 10 minutes. She was very attentive to the cats and answered our questions, making various suggestions (food, allergy meds, etc) for ongoing cat care related to their continued good health.
Some people in these reviews have complained about the high fees. I'm would guess other providers charge less and I know some charge more. I moved here from Northern Virginia so I'm paying less now. The facility has no dogs or other animals, they schedule appointments for my convenience and they take good care of my cats. The fee is worth it to me.

We are cat people and we go to a pet clinic that only has cats and it is called the cat hospital. So I don't go in there to hear dogs barking and it is not annoying and scary for the animals. They have got cats that live in there and walk away home. It is amazing. They have a vet there too. They are just specialized in cats and as a cat person we have got a neighbor with annoying barking dogs since we have been here from 1999. We said does he always do that and they said they will get used to us and from 1999 they are still barking at us and we don't appreciate dogs, so we go in there and it is just cats. We have a girl and she is a cat sitter and she comes to the house. It is real peace of mind because we leave a note and if anything happens to the cat she can take it to the cat hospital. She is just not a neighbor that dumps food and cleans the litter box, but she helps with the surgeries. I had used them few months ago when one of the cats had something going on. She charges $12 a day but we give $15.

Cat is Manx and was throwing up. Suspected she needed an enema. Had to pay for x-rays and blood tests. Vet wants to do more tests (for elevated white count) but I expect that problem is the cat needs teeth worked on. Vet could have figured out the problems without expensive tests. Cannot take a cat here without spending $200 minimum. Always recommends a long list of tests. Used to get a senior citizen discount (such as it was) but that is gone.

I HAVE BEEN USING THE CAT HOSPITAL OF TUCSON FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. DR. KEYES AND HER STAFF ARE A+...ESPECIALLY RACHAEL AND COLLEEN. WHAT I REALLY APPRECIATE ABOUT THIS VET CARE IS THAT THEY DON'T TRY TO PUSH UNNECESSARY TESTING/SHOTS ETC ON YOU. THEY ARE A COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY AND COMPASSIONATE GROUP OF PEOPLE. HIGH MARKS ALL AROUND.

They have been great. Three of our cats are healthy, so they go in for yearly check ups. They treat the cats respectfully. One cat had to be diagnosed and then treated for allergies. The cat looks great now.

I have been using them for eight years now and Dr. Keyes is the owner and veterinarian. Dr. Keyes specializes in felines only and I use her for any health issues that I have with my cats. The rates are more than reasonable.
