Had Blue Lagoon replace the pool lights. The owner comes on site for repair work and was not happy with the condition of my pool --- we'd had algea, lots of calcium build up, debris in bottom. I couldn't think of the last time I had seen the tech do more than skim some of the debris. That tech (who had his son do a lot of his clients) has since been fired. My pool is now getting vacuumed, brushed down and all the baskets emptied and the water is clear. I had been looking on Angie's for a possible replacement, but the company took care of the problem itself.
Because we have been with Blue Lagoon since purchasing our home 2 years ago, i wanted to give the company the chance to continue their service before I looked into whether my tech had taken a job at another service. Blue Lagoon came today. The owner and his son pulled into the driveway at 11:30. They pulled out at 11:38. Needless to say, there was no skimming, no vacuuming and no scrubbing of the edges. I assume that since they are one man shy on their workforce that they are in a hurry to get through all of the accounts that they have. If this is the service that they plan to provide, they will have to drum up new business. I have never experienced the former tech doing a half #%* hurried job such as this.
I will track down my former tech, or do the job myself from this point forward.
