AWNING DOCTORS

I used the Awning Doctors to replace the fabric on my 2 awnings. Here are my thoughts: Pros: 1) The quality of the fabric is excellent and matches my house perfectly. 2) The price was well within my budget (as a matter of fact, it was below what I expected). 3) The installers were efficient, friendly and did an excellent job. Cons: 1) After I signed the agreement, the owner said they'd install the new fabric within 10-12 weeks. Instead it took 6 months. There were no phone calls or updates. I had to call every 3-4 weeks just to find out what was going on. 2) After installing the awning fabric, I am now having an issue with one of them (it keeps going down on its own). I called the owner and he told me it's not his problem and I need to maybe call an electrician to check it (it was not doing this before the awning replacement). I felt he just blew me off since the job had been "completed". As I said, the installation work was excellent, but communication and follow-up are almost non-existent.

The owner Dave and his son came to my home within a day or so of my calling for an estimate. They were right on time.  They spent over an hour and one half  with me explaining every detail of their service and product, and answered all my questions and then some. Their proposal was emailed the next day.  It was on their letterhead, outlined every detail of the purchase, delivery and installation plan. It was very professional. The awning was delivered and installed well within the time frame given.  The 2 employees that came to install the awning were professional, very friendly, worked non stop and completely cleaned up any and all  mess.   I will never use any other awning company.  Dave called the next day to see if all was well and if I had any more questions.  It was a wonderful experience.

I have approximately 10 year old awnings on two east/west facing windows. Stitching giving out, fabric and frames in good shape. Dave, the owner, arrived promptly, gave estimate for repair and recommended cleaning and fabric treatment. The repair is guaranteed to hold. Within the next couple of days workers arrived and completed the repairs and cleaning. Workers were polite, didn't leave mess. Awnings look great, have held up through some strong winds since.

Mr. Lurtsema accompanied his workers and stayed with them the entire time. The quality of his work was apparent from the onset through the installation. I am very happy with the result.

Dave and his associate were on time for their appointments and accurate in the information they gave us on timing. The cost estimate was exact. Other information was straight forward, accurate, and reliable.
