Arwood is President of Arwood Waste, a local waste disposal and demolition company in Jacksonville, FL and Arwood Waste National, a nationwide waste management and portable sanitation provider. Founded in 1984 alongside his father, John C. Arwood learned the fundamentals that have led to over 30 years of success in the waste disposal and sanitation industry. In 2004 he established a nationwide network of waste management and portable sanitation companies under Arwood Waste National. Caring for his community has been a priority, through personally funded and inspired initiatives like National Garbage Man Day, Space Waste Solutions, & The Recycle Guide, he continues to raise awareness and educate about the waste management industry, garbage workers, and environmental conservation. For Arwood, his joy comes from seeing more & more garbage collectors celebrated & appreciated in their communities for the hard work they accomplish daily.

This was a complete rip-off. I thought I was contacting a local company, but I was actually contacting a company in Florida that charges extremely high rates & then contracts out your service to a national company, keeping the profits. I was originally quoted $364 per quarter for garbage & recycling service by Arwood Waste. When I asked if they had smaller cans or less frequent service, I was given a "discount rate" of $188 per quarter. When I got my initial email it stated that I had agreed to a 3 year contract (which no one on the phone had told me)! My cans & pickup service were actually provided by WM. When I contacted WM directly their rates were much, MUCH cheaper than even the "discount rate" I was given by Arwood Waste. Also, my address showed to WM as an individual account under the name of "Tiffany." That is not my name & no one with that name lives in this house. Skip Arwood Waste & contact the actual provider directly to save a ton of money.
