artistic concrete resurfacing

We hired Mr. John Hastey (Artistic Concrete Resurfacing) to resurface our front patio and walkway on 7/13/2022. He quoted a cost of $2800 to do the job and asked for a $1400 deposit up front. We signed a contract with him, and paid the deposit via check. Since then, he never started the work, and after we asked for our money back, he stopped responding to texts, phone calls, and fax. He doesn't work at the address listed on the contract.

Did not even start job. When asked for a refund of $8000.00 deposit. The owner, John Hastey, stopped communicating.

Mr John Hastey came to the house and made a survey of the patio-porch we wanted resurfaced. He identified and described each step of the required work. He also provided examples of his products relative to what we had envisooned.
When the crew arrived the next week, as scheduled, they ground the rough places of the deck, acid-etched and power washed the entire surface in preparation for the base coat. After the base coat had dried for 24 hours, they returned and applied a texture coat to the surface and Mr Hastey scribed it in a random pattern emulating flagstone. Another day was used for the surface to dry then the grout between stones was applied. Finally, three coats of sealer was applied to complete the transformation.
The result was much more pleasing than we had anticpated.

It worked out well and they did a very nice job. I will use them again in the future.
