The work was done in the time expected. The mechanic took time to answer some questions, and did not do work he considered unnecessary that could have resulted in a bigger bill.

None of my other go-to shops in town would touch it. Art's not only took it on but did an amazing job and were even thoughtful enough to put my almost full tank of premium gasoline back in after the repair. I planning on driving this van past 400k miles and I've found a new shop to take the old girl whenever she needs repairs.

They are excellent. Their pricing is lower than the dealerships.  You get a hometown assistance from Art's.

I have an old FJ40 that had been pushing the limits on the annual emissions exam. I found a conversation on an FJ40 owner website that included a story by a local that had the same issue with his vehicle. He had taken it to Art's and they diagnosed and fixed the problem. I scheduled an appointment with them and took mine in. Just a few minutes of waiting and they reported that it was operating within specs and they didn't want to make any changes as it was running fine. No charge.
In my case I was impressed that they had extensive experience with these old vehicles, and that they could have used this situation to tweak what was already working and charge me for the time but didn't. Yeah, I'll take it to them again when it needs repair. They earned my respect for honesty and integrity.

They gave an estimate and called when they found an additional problem or two, did the work quickly and were very reliable. My whole family has used Art's for decades and always had very reliable, honest work. The estimates are honest, and the prices fair and they won't do a slapdash job or tell you something is fixed when it isn't. They also won't tell you something is broken when it isn't or charge you an arm and a leg to do something you don't need.

We were always satisfied with the service. The staff is honest and usually charges what they estimate. Sometimes it has taken a long time to get the work done.

I really like this shop and have used them for some time. This visit demonstrates why. I had been told that I had developed a leak in one of these areas that should be fixed. I brought the car in and after checking it top to bottom and they found no problems. They were honest and upfront with me and didn't charge for any unnecessary or undone repairs. I respect their integrity and highly recommend them. They wouldn't even take any money, despite the fact they had spent all that time checking the supposed problem areas.
