Tech told me it would take 5 days to receive the keyboard.  I patiently waited 12 days and when I had no contact from Computer Guru, I called to find out "what's up"?  Coincidentally they had just received the part one hour previously(so they say).  When I questioned the tech about why his time estimate was so off, he became very surly with me.   I left the laptop with him to replace the keyboard.  His original time estimate was one hour to replace it but he would probably need it the whole day.  I waited until the end of business the following day(1 1/2 days total--after no phone call from them again) to find out "what's up?"  Tech said the laptop was in pieces on his workbench and that it would take him another 3-4 hours to finish job and they would be charging 2-2 1/2 hours of labor(@$75/hr) instead of the original estimate of 1 hour of labor.   I told him I expected them to stick to their original estimate of 1 hour labor charge.  He said that was only an estimate and that the estimate had now changed.  We argued a bit and he became very unbusinesslike and rude being sarcastic and saying, "YOU're a classy guy, but I guess you hear that all the time"  At this point I knew I couldn't work with the guy so I immediately asked to speak to the owner.  It was resolved with no work being done on the computer, the part was returned to OEM and I got a full refund.
In short this was a learning experience for me.  It's been a long time since I've been treated this badly by a hiree I was willing to spend my hard-earned money on.  I give them no stars.  A terrible experience for me.  Never to step foot in this so-called store again!

Great! Now that they have a new shop on the Eastside, it's convenient as well as rewarding to have a repair and great service nearby. I am very happy with the work done on my desktop PC, its new OS and new harddrive. I highly recommend Arizona Computer Guru. I have had services over the last 10 years with 2 other computer service companies and the 3rd time is the charm.

The entire team is awesome! They are courteous and amazingly quick and responsive. They are extremely knowledgeable and gave us great advice regarding the type of virus we had and what information the hackers could possibly obtain, so that we were able to take the necessary steps to prevent access to our bank accounts, etc.

He's really good. He has a group of four or five and they're all, including the receptionist, excellent, very caring about the client. They're very nice, very professional. To go to the house, he is $95. To take it into the shop, it's much less and that's what I used to do. I've just had a lot of trouble with my computer and they've done everything they can.

Mike is professional, courteous, and seems very knowledgeable. I gave him a B for punctuality because out of the 4 times that he came to my house, one we had to reschedule because he called me right before and said he was very busy, the other time he was about an hour late. But I will definitely hire him again. I will definitely use him again.

Called Computer Guru, explained the problem and received an explanation of services and costs. Took the tower into the shop, paid a deposit for diagnosis (Dx). The receptionist said that the tech would call me with the results of the Dx and that the deposit would go toward the cost of the repair if I chose to do the repair. I was told that the whole process would take 3-5 business days. Within a few days the tech called me and explained that I needed a new hard drive and that it would be about $100+ labor (about another $50. already paid as deposit). I told him to go ahead. On the 5th day the computer was ready. I picked it up, chatted with the tech for a few minutes, and it has been restored to its old self! Meanwhile, the tech had been emailing me with his step-by-step analysis and repairs. Because we had only the one computer, I did not see the emails until I had the repaired computer hooked up again.
Two weeks later I received an email asking if everything were working well. It was.

Fortunately, the memory was under lifetime warranty, so there was no additional cost to me other than Arizona Computer Guru's labor charge. Their technicians know what they're doing, and telephone communication is excellent. I definitely recommend them.

They picked up the computer the next morning, after I called them. They called me the next day with a diagnosis, and I agreed to pay for the estimated price. They told me the computer was ready on Thursday at noon. I asked to have pickup and delivery. They finally delivered it on Saturday. They attempted to charge me for a delivery fee, but eventually took that off of the bill. After a few hours of using the computer, it started doing the same thing! I called them and they came and picked it up a second time! They had it for 6 days before returning it at 7pm at night! Once again, a few hours of usage and the computer crashed and wouldn't work again! I am not sure what to do at this point. Do I let them take it for another 6 days and get it back broken again?

With the changeover from the MSN Butterfly to Live Windows, I lost the ability to use my and quot;Favoritesand quot; bar, whereby I can access selected websites in one click. This is a priority for me since I do a lot of work online, and a disabled hand makes it difficult for me to key in entire website address each time. A previous service call seemed to solve the problem but unreliably. This time Mike solved it for good, I hope. The ability to handle and quot;junk mailand quot; quickly and reliably also was not working, but Mike changed a few things and I seem to process the and quot;junk mailand quot; much better.
I have a contract with Arizona Computer Guru for and quot;remote serviceand quot; for a two year period which, for someone with my limited ability to understand how to use the computer for my individual needs, seems to be the best way to get problems solved. When I mentioned to Mike that my hand made keyboarding very difficult, he suggested I look into and quot;Dragonand quot; software and gave me a quick rundown on the different series. His explanation and recommendation has persuaded me to look into getting and quot;Dragonand quot; and making my computer much more useful to me.

Took my computer in for diagnosis and repair after a storm resulted in power surge and and quot;friedand quot; computer that wouldn't start.
The tech got back to my promptly with an email and call.
The tech kept me up-to-date on progress via email.
They problem was relatively simple: replace power supply.
Aside from the mail-time to get the power supply, the turnover was about three days. They said they usually have longer wait, so I probably got a little lucky.
The tech was flexible when I suggested purchasing a psu on my own-- I liked that. He answered questions about +/- of going with the one he selected, and did not appear to and quot;gaugeand quot; me on the price of the part. I appreciate he recommended a slighly bigger supply in case I later wanted to add components-- good thinking.
So overall, I'd recommend these guys. Thorough, professional.
Note: Unlike many others competitors there is a non-refundable diagnosis fee, that gets counted into the costs if you go forward. I didn't find this fee unfair, but be sure you will need services before using this company.
Response from Arizona Computer Guru LLC
"Thank you for taking the time to review me on Angie's List. In regards to the $65 diagnostic fee: That was instituted because many machines would be abandoned after we spent the time to find out what was wrong with them. This allows people to abandon their machine if they choose not to get it fixed, and covers our cost for time and recycling fees. There is no separate item for diagnostic, which is why the monies paid at the time of drop-off are applied to the final bill. So you are never paying for a diagnostic if we do any type of repair to the machine."

"I'm sorry you were not able to reach us. Do you happen to recall which number you were calling? There are some phone books which were using "tracking" numbers that are likely not in use anymore. Our primary phone number is 520-304-8300. Mike Swanson"

Arizona Computer Guru IS the best!!!! I brought in a my desk top to these guys and it fast and works great!. I am bring in my lap top for a tune-up I found this place by listening to "The Computer Guru Radio Show"‎ News/Talk Station 104.1 FM Saturday. What I'm trying to say is these guys go above and beyond just fixing computers because they give back to the community and I think that is worth letting people know.
