Apollo Flooring Center

Apollo Flooring is great and I would recommend them to anyone needing ceramic tile work. Our sales rep Steve was very knowledgeable and helped us select the size, color and pattern that would look the best in our home. The installers were prompt, careful and efficient. We only had one problem - the wrong size tile was accidentally ordered - so we had to wait a couple days for the correct size to come in. The Apollo folks, including the installers, were careful to stay in touch with us and keep us posted on the progress.

They had all the needed equipment and guys were professional. Cleaned up afterwards very well. Looked great

Found high quality carpeting, on sale, and got it installed within a week. Very quick response and we could not be pleased any more.

Mostly smoothly - a problem with measurement came up and order needed to be revised. The tile workers were great and helpful. I was able to live in the house while the work was being done.

We chose Apollo because we have used them several times in past years. We have been in our house for 40 years and they have been in business just as long. We have never been disappointed in the quality of the staff or the flooring. The salesman we had this time, Mike M., is a wealth of information about products we were interested in, helped us choose the tiles we wanted by type, quality, design, and was a tremendous help with the color choices.
Through no fault of any one…not Apollo's fault, not the tile manufacturer's fault, not the grout manufacture's fault or the fault of the highly skilled team that installed our tile, but there was a never heard of before issue with weird grout smudges on the tile that required extra time and effort to resolve. The staff and president of Apollo were behind their flooring in every way, worked with us on our time schedule, addressed the issue, and made absolutely certain the flooring was perfect for us and did so calmly and cheerfully. I am so happy that we again chose this high quality and reliable business to lay these floors for us.

To begin with, our salesman Stuart, at APOLLO FLOORING CENTER was very friendly and had no trouble coming to our house for an estimate. When we found a tile sample at another company he was able to get it for us immediately and we were able to take it home for a while. Instead of waiting forever for an estimate he provided it to us the same day. He did not however, provide us with a written estimate to keep and think about like other companies. Their prices were competitive and they were local so we went with them.
Some issues arose with the tear-our and the installation. First of all, the demolition took a lot longer than expected and the gentlemen doing it accidentally took up a tile door sill. Second the very friendly installers did not seem to communicate well with the salesman or the demolition crew. The installers did not seem to know they were suppose to repair the damaged sill or put in two transitions. I eventually had to call the store to have them and quot;approveand quot; the additional work that needed to be done. Apparently if the work is not outlined in the original work order they don't do it. After talking to the owner, the issues with the sill and transitions were resolved to our satisfaction.
If you choose this company make sure all the things you were told when getting the estimate are in the actual work order. The salesman, demolition crew, and installers need to communicate with each other better. I felt as if I had to watch them to make sure nothing was forgotten. Indeed, if I was not paying attention I may have had a broken sill and missing transitions at the and quot;completionand quot; of the job.
With all of this said, we absolutely love our new floor and everyone at the store is helpful and friendly. I was called by our salesman Stuart after the completion of the job to make sure our experience was a good one. Over all I would score this a B because of the lack of communication and eventually higher cost of the job.

At first I was dissatisfied with the color of the tile; it looked too dark. They should have told me that the color gets lighter with time, and with washing the floor. Didn't seem very sympathetic when I told them I didn't like the color. They worked very hard and diligently installing the tile.

Tim Gyuro was an excellent representative for Apollo Flooring. He was knowledgeable, responsive and extremely patient. On our first visit to the store, the owner of the store, Ted came up and introduced himself and took time to answer any questions pertinent to our special circumstances and he followed up to make sure that our experience would be seamless.
Tim and his co-worker Mary went above and beyond when they drove us to another client's home to see a semi-finished project so that we could see the workmanship and the product on a larger scale. The installation crew were industrious, focused, pleasant and courteous. They obviously knew their business. We have been extremely pleased with our dealings with Apollo Flooring and would highly recommend them.

great job. excellent match to other flooring. 2 of the workers had many years of experience and mated to gether on the stairs the new flooring to the old.

Stuart assisted me in the store, in selecting new flooring for my home. He took as much time as I needed, was extremely helpful in finding the kind of flooring I wanted and when I did find it, he setup an appt. to come out to my home to measure and write up an estimate.
Stuart showed up on time for the estimate appointment, was very professional, he wrote up the estimate and we agreed I would purchase the flooring at the end of the month.
Sadly, I got laid off a week or so later so had to cancel all new flooring plans. I called Stuart, explained, he was gracious and helpful and understood that sometimes 'life happens'. I've been in situations in the past where I've had salesmen get a bit ugly when a potential sale gets canceled. Stuart was sympathetic and professional and simply said to keep him in mind if/when things changed. There is no question I would go right back to Apollo and to Stuart, for my flooring needs. Hopefully it will be soon.

They showed up and did the job.

The two installers from Apollo Flooring Center were excellent. They were very friendly and they were easy to have around. Regarding the price, they didn't give us a break out of the written estimate which I supposedly could have asked for but I didn't. I felt like they should have done that anyways.

We went to Apollo based on reviews on Angie's list reviews but i want to warn everyone that they are nothing even close to what other reviews state. We contacted Michael(sales guy) and he came to our house for review of scope of work. He estimated and gave us ~980 sq feet and was going to email us the quote. He emailed us the quote and he quoted $10000. We emailed him back to get a confirmation that it is the correct amount or not for the scope. he confirmed that it is. When work started he only send 800 sq feet worth of wood and we called him to check what was the matter. He said it was his mistake in calculations and they will take care of it. They proceeded the work and then he again ordered less than was required. We again ran out of material and he had to again reorder material. We bought a new house so we had to wait until this job was done to start moving. We had to postpone our move-in date to our house because of the incomplete floor work. Noone until that point asked for any money. After work was complete, Michael send us an additional ~$2000 quote saying he did not account for all square footage. THIS IS A LIE because he had confirmed us 980 sq feet at our home. I WILL WARN NEVER TO GO TO THESE GUYS BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEATS, ESPECIALLY MICHAEL, BECAUSE THEY WILL QUOTE YOU A PRICE TO GET CONTRACT AND THEN AFTER YOU START WORK THEY KEEP INCREASING WORK. DO NOT USE THEM. THEIR ARE GOOD OPTIONS OUT THEIR.
We have quality issues with floor installation and we have called Michael multiple times to get the job fixed but no-one calls us back.

Stuart, a and quot;Shop At Home Consultant,and quot; not only walked us through our tile options in the store but came to our house with samples. His measurements were quite accurate as they agreed with the measurements I had taken. Two areas of the house (kitchen and entry way) were already tiled but we chose to have the tiles removed so that the areas would all match. He walked us through all our options and was able to stay within the ballpark of our financial figure.
With the extras such as removal of old tile and diagonal installation of new tile our per square foot price still came out lower than quoted by other companies.
The installers arrived exactly on time each day and were very friendly. They moved all our furniture out and in and around as necessary and covered much with plastic to reduce cleaning after the installation.

They started and finished as scheduled. Some of the cuts for the tile were very intricate. I was amazed at how accurate they were. The work was highly professional.
I highly recommend Apollo Flooring. Will definitely visit them again when we decide to change the carpeting in the bedrooms.

I think Apollo Flooring Center performed very well. They were here and had said it could possible take 3 days and they were done in 2 which was much appreciated and it went very well, that's about the best I can say. We were very, very pleased with the results.

I had several things that needed done because I was just moving into the house. I went to them on a Monday because they had good reviews. They are locally owend and operated. The salesman was very nice. He told me to have it installed next day that it would have to be something they had in stock. He narrowed done what I wanted and came out about 2 hours later to do measurements. The crew came bright and early the next day to install. They explained to me the traffic patterns and where the seams would be. I had great service. I would recommend them.

They did a very good job. I heard that they had a great reputation, and they certainly lived up to it. They were easy to communicate with, and did quality work.

Accurate, quick and efficient. Would definitely use them again

The salesman Ralph was very helpful in that he had been an installer and could evaluate what we knew would be a difficult job involving fitting the hardwood around an existing iron railing and allowing for a concrete pillar as well as finishing a stair landing and five transitions to three different surfaces. Ralph came to the job site that same day to measure for the carpet and bamboo. He arranged for Jesus Vaquez to install the hardwood. Jesus accomplished wonders with the installation of the bamboo. He managed to bury the offending screws holding the railing beneath the bamboo. He did an especially neat job of the bull nose along the landing and on the top riser of the staircase. Bamboo is really hard to cut, wears out saw blades quickly. Jesus dealt with the entire job most competently. I don't know if he works for the company or is an independent contractor but he is worth tracking down for hardwood flloor installation. One transition piece was not in stock and had to be ordered. When it arrived, Ralph came out on a Saturday to install it.

We visited the showroom and selected our flooring. The salesman was very knowledgeable. We haven't moved permanently to the home yet, so we had to schedule the installation months in advance. Apollo procured the flooring and delivered it to our home so it could acclimate a few days before the installation. I confirmed the installation date by phone a few days before it was scheduled, and got a phone call the night before telling me when the installers would arrive. They arrived on time. The job took two days -- about 8AM to 2PM each day -- one room per day. They did an excellent job in the installation, and were very polite and professional. The head of the two man team said he had been doing this for 33 years, and it showed in the work he did. The quality and value of the product were excellent. I had given them a down payment upon ordering the flooring, and paid the balance after it was completed. We received a follow-up call from Apollo after the installation to make sure we were satisfied. Overall, a very good experience. I would highly recommend Apollo.

Installers were either late or did not show up. No one would call to let us know that an installer was going to be late or not show for scheduled times. The person who scheduled the installers was completely incompetent. He did not know how to make a minor fix in the floor after installation. This company is absolutely awful.

It took a day longer than we expected to install the laminate. The wrong transition pieces were ordered, so we had to wait a week for the correct ones. The overall job was done fairly well. The floor looks nice, but there are a few places that could have been done better. For example, the workers used sharpie markers to mark the cut lines on the laminate and there are places where the sharpie line shows (even after we installed baseboards). Also a couple of the transition pieces were not completely nailed down and they are starting to lift. The workers took 1.5 hour lunches. They arrived at 7:30 and left at 3:30. It took them 3 days to complete the work, plus another week to wait for some transition pieces that were not ordered correctly. They were very chatty and made comments that offended me like saying my husband and I must drink too much when they saw me emptying beer bottles into our recycling bin.
