I've used them for 30 years. The roofing people moved the air conditioner and caught a wire. It was Saturday. I called Air Conditioning Associates before I found out that the roofing people had called them already. The guy I usually used called that evening to see if everything was okay if not, he would have come.

Air Conditioning Associates was fast in their response and their HVAC tech, Tony, was amazing. When the heat pump failed in the house I recently bought and moved into, he discovered that it had been extensively rewired by others during previous attempts to repair it. This caused a circuit board controlling it to burnout so he replaced that. There was even a replacement motor squeezed into it that was larger than the one for which it was designed. Tony worked to return the heat pump to stock condition by replacing the wiring, some of which had been altered to bypass certain necessary circuits. He had to divide the work into 2 trips and on the second one he replaced the oversized motor with an appropriate spec one. The result was that the fan on it once again fit properly within its shroud. His replacement of the wrong motor eliminated an exceedingly annoying vibration felt throughout the house whenever the heat pump was running. In the process of all this work, he found and resolved the likely cause of the previous failures of the heat pump which had resulted in the patchwork of inappropriate repairs created during the previous owner?s attempts to get it to work. The best part is that Tony saved me many thousands of dollars in heat pump replacement costs, something I would have had to do had he been unable to meticulously work his way through the mess he encountered. I can only offer praise of ACA and Tony - I highly recommend them! One last point, contact them directly rather than via Angie's List's email system. I had attempted to contact them via Angie's List for a job on my old house but they didn't respond to that. Turns out that they only respond to direct contact at their phone number or email address.

We have worked with ACA on multiple occasions over the last 20 years. They installed and maintain the A/C and evaporative coolers at my father's house for at least that long, without ever a complaint or problem. ACA has also serviced and repaired the A/C system at our house for over 5  years. Their service has always been top-notch, professional, and friendly. When a problem crops up, they always offer several possible solutions, and are happy to do whichever you prefer.
As you might imagine, a non-functioning A/C is a *big* problem in Tucson during the summer! On several occasions we have had to call them late or on weekends because of breakdowns or problems, and ACA always sends a qualified technician very quickly. 
We have always been pleased with ACA's service and professionalism, and we will continue to have them as our A/C company for as long as they maintain such high standards. In fact we have an appointment for both houses to be serviced, later this month!

My husband called me at work to let me know that AC not working on a day when temps in Tucson were going to be in triple digits. Because I was at work and unable to assist him, he called company (ACA) which we had used several years ago. Amazingly, they were able to come out within an hour of phone call, repaired the unit and charged a very fair price for parts and labor. Technician was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our AC unit is over 15 years old and we were afraid that we would have to spend several thousand dollars to replace it. But, at least not yet, thanks to ACA!!!! We will definitely use them again, if needed and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely Flawless!! My house is a joy to be in no matter what the weather is like outside. Jerry and his crew were extremely professional and very kind. They did a wonderful job from the moment they arrived throughout the entire process including meticulous clean up. Gary Wakefield, the owner of A.C.A., met me at my home and inspected everything. No one cut any corners through any part of this process. I feel completely confidant knowing that from start to finish, first phone call thru final inspection by the owner, I know I chose the right company. I recommend A.C.A. to everyone!!!! I can't say enough good things about Mr. Wakefield. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I had a bad experience the day before with another service who was going to charge me for my warrantied motor and charge almost 300 an hour.
Gary went thru my entire system and found problems with the wiring as it was not wired properly for a 2 stage. He adjusted all of our vents and properly set the thermostat. He cleaned and sealed everything on the units and also found a problem on the condenser. All this on top of changing out the blower motor. He advised me on how to use the AC properly as well.
He even called me the next day to see that everything was running properly.
From all my experiences Air Conditioning Associates is the very best!

Can't say enough good things about Air Conditioning Associates. Their technicians are professional, dependable, polite, and are happy to explain what maintenance work is needed, and why. What really sold me on them: when my A/C unit needed a repair over the Fourth of July weekend -- my home's interior temp read 90 degrees! -- and Gary the owner came over ... and did the repair himself. He's also a big supporter of local law-enforcement and public-safety agencies, which is another plus, as far as I'm concerned.
