A MAID TO ORDER

Terrible. Estimate was way off. Workers couldn't/wouldn't/didn't do the specifically requested and agreed-upon work. Management had no explanation and offered no correction. I spoke to "Jackie" on the phone and explained in detail the work I needed to have done, in particular lowering the top of an 8-10' bush in the back yard, but also general trimming of several other bushes on my 1/4-acre lot, front and back yards. Jackie told me explicitly that everything I needed to have done was within their normal services, with no special services or equipment needed, and I was quoted $169 for a 2-hour job. I asked Jackie if they needed to do an on-site inspection/estimate prior to the date of service, and she assured me no prior inspection was necessary. When workers arrived on the scheduled date, they didn't have the equipment or the capability necessary to trim the 8-10' bush I'd specifically described. I attempted to negotiate a lower rate, since they couldn't do the agreed-upon work (specifically lowering my tall bush). I spoke to Jackie again and was referred to a manager, "Tyler." Tyler and I agreed to a reduced rate of $100 (for my "inconvenience") for all of the work except lowering the top of the 8-10' bush. After 2 hours, they'd only trimmed the bushes in my front yard. No work was done in my backyard. Tyler told me the backyard would take 2 more hours, but by then the workers were gone. Waste of time. Waste of $100.

I have found A Maid to Order to be professional and efficient. They also disclose their rates ahead of time, which makes it easy to plan. I would hire them again.

Today, obviously not professional. Extremely unprofessional at best, especially that I had specific directions to the company.
The other time, I asked for a free cleaning, and the owner told the person who does the scheduling that they do not offer free cleaning, even though the service was not provided. I asked to speak to the owner, and was told that she does not speak to customers.
I have had similar problems in the past. An employee calling to change the time, and I did not confirm the time, and they showed up at an extremely inconvenient hour, and I sent them home. As I did not call to say the time switch was fine, the staff should not have thought it was fine to do it, without a return call from me.
Generally they have been good; sometimes the house isn't as clean as I want it (non-carpeted floor still not entirely clean, kitchen countertops still with sticky food and such). Overall, I haven't minded the way they clean, and the cleaning people are friendly. It is the front office that needs to be re-trained in customer service.

Asked for quote, they came out the next day and were available to perform services the following day. Very professional, would definitely hire them again when the need arises.

They are family owned. They did what they said they were going to do. They were reasonably priced and took care of any problems we had. I will use them again.
