I dropped off the lamps on a Friday afternoon. The proprietor suggested a different way to rewire the table lamp which may well have been better, and I initially agreed. However, I changed my mind for sentimental reasons and called her the next day, and there way no problem rewiring it the way it was originally rewired. She said they might be done the following week, and actually called Wednesday night to say they were ready. I am very happy with my safer and more functional lamps!

I brought the lamp to A Better Shade and indicated the socket wasn't operating properly and I wanted the socket replaced. The proprietor gave me my options, single turn, 3-way, or dimmer. I opted for the single turn, as I use compact fluorescents. She also inspected the cord and determined it was good. She estimated the cost to be $25.00 She said she could have it done later that day. Upon returning later that day, the lamp was ready. The new socket worked perfectly. She also glued the pad on the bottom of the lamp, as it had come partially unglued. The cost was $25.00, plus tax. I was very satisfied with the transaction.

Since coming to Tucson, I have been coming here and although I tried other lamp stores, I find this place to have the best selection on lamp shades....Very regal, well made and the best quality and design. Not only does she have the best selection but her ability is to select the right shade for the lamp which can be challenging and in truth, makes or breaks the beauty of the lamp. She has repaired lamps that I have found in thrift shops, some more challenging than others but all in all, Marisa has a clear understanding of the mechanics as well as the beauty of lamps....

She was very polite and very knowledgeable, she has a very interesting shop with various lamp bases and shades that were for purchase. I'm pretty that the work was done within two days.
