Because Ross Ferrin does his own estimates and job planning and does not delegate it, it took a couple of weeks to get an estimate, but he showed up, inspected and left. His estimate arrived within a week of the inspection, and was 50% down, and 50% on completion. Once the contract was signed, and materials ordered and received, the crew was out and on the job. Two man crew, supplemented at stages of the job by three more men when critical repetitive or heavy tasks required it. It took only a few days for them to complete the work, which was high quality workmanship with commercial grade materials.
They brought a trailer with a generator and did not sponge electrical power from the customer, which I appreciate. All materials employed were brand new, specific to the requirements of the job.
A membrane roof was chosen because it is a one piece roof, with each joint heat sealed and fused together. The roof has performed well, including installed scuppers and an attached garage and patio roof. I could have gotten the job slightly cheaper, but I did not want to skimp on the materials quality.
Ross Ferrin was recommended by a contractor friend I trusted and I have no complaints with the job. Word of mouth is important in a small city.
A bonus with the white membrane in the desert climate, my air conditioner does not run as often, as the surface is reflective, more so than the grey asphalt rolled roofing it replaces.
