This family-owned and family-run business really impressed us. Everybody was very friendly but professional. Terry LaLonde, one of the owners, came to our house and gave us an estimate. We received two other estimates, and we liked both of those other companies. But True Blue's bid was lower, and we had a good feeling about Terry, who seemed like a real straight-shooter. (All three companies had good reviews at Angie's and good records at Arizona's Registrar of Contractors.) Terry and the folks at his office kept us informed every step of the way during the three-week process. A problem arose during the first step, which was the chipping out of the old plaster. During the blasting of the plaster, one of the spa's steps lost a big chunk of concrete because of inadequate rebar used to build it 20 years ago. Terry agreed to rebuild that step at no extra charge to us. The patio/deck work took a full week but it was worth it. The two-man crew was very professional and detrail-oriented, from the prep work to the artistic sprinkling of color in the acrylic coating. We chose a pattern called Old Italian Stone, and we really love it. We used to have a hodgepodge of colored deck and gray concrete (two patio areas); now we have a uniform look that is really striking. The man who did the waterline tile was also a real pro, as were the men who applied the mini pebble surface to the pool and spa. Terry and some helpers installed the LED lights, which are even cooler than we thought they would be. After the pool was refilled and True Blue added the startup chemicals, we felt that we had not just a new pool but a new backyard. We really love it and wish we would have done it a couple of years earlier. In the end, we felt that we  got a very good deal.

They were easily the lowest quote, were very knowledgeable, and were prompt and reliable about completing the work.  True Blue is a family business and the family members are active in doing the work, not just managing and supervising.

Although the start date was a day off, the balance of the work was preformed on schedule. There was a problem with residue left on the sidewalk. It was cleaned up after reported. The pool looks great.

THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF ITEM. THE SERVICE PERSON WS FRIENDLY, EXPLAINED WHAT WAS REPLACED AND SHOWED THE WORN OUT PARTS TO US.
