POCO VERDE LANDSCAPING

The work was fine. It's the customer service and communication that was terrible. Our first rep quit and our account sat idle for weeks. Then when we called or next rep was absolutely disrespectful and condescending. She constantly talked over us. We were quoted one price and then another. They never called us we had to call them, that's of course until it was time to pay. Again I will say the work was good but I will not give them more business

This has been the worst experience working with "professionals" ever. They were on time maybe once the whole job and there have been problems from start to finish and then some. When they bothered to show up, they left garbage everywhere and never cleaned up after themselves and didn't follow the plan. They tried to get away with charging for plants and things that were in the plan that they didn't install and when called out on it they offered to "give a credit on the next project" as opposed to credit money on the current project. When pressed on it, they then installed what they were supposed to per the plan showing if you don't watch every single thing they do you won't get what you pay for. Then 27 travertine needed to be reset (some multiple times) after they starting to come apart when walking on them. They just came and marked them with tape and said not to use the patio and left it like that for a month. The turf also has areas that needs to be redone but they also haven't bothered to come and fix that after asking for weeks. They are completely unresponsive and all they cared about was cashing their check. For over $20k you will get a giant headache. Do yourself a huge favor and go with someone else.

I had a pool and landscaping done by Poco Verde. While there were several external factors going on in the world, Poco Verde had horrible communication and delayed work several times without letting me know, then they would show up unannounced at 530 AM even on weekends to complete work. When I attempted to reach the field coordinators about this they did not respond, then I complained about the lack of communication to Bill at the office and he complained about his own personal time, heat restrictions, and other things that had no bearing taking care of me as a customer and even cursed at me and threatened to have his crew leave the job site causing extended delays. This was a very negative experience that could have been completely avoided by the company honoring their commitments and communicating with me upfront. Very unprofessional and disrespectful.

They were always reliable, knowledgeable and they showed up on time.

Started out well with a full crew., Ten days later no one showing up, then after phone call one or two people would show up
sporadically. Drug on this way for some time until pressed for completion.
Hardscape design was excellent.
After completion a full unopened pallet of pavers was removed from the driveway. Asked
for a credit on this material and was refused. Work was done during the peak of real estate boom so owner was not open to negotiation on pricing. Things might be different now.
Reputable company but VERY pricey.

Did not feel good value was provided, plants were not all installed properly, some died.

I have no hesitation recommending Poco Verde Landscaping. As a customer I was treated with respect, even when I asked what must have seemed like silly questions (and at times 100s of them rapid fire!). I primarily dealt with Bob and his professionalism was outstanding. The quote was easy to read and understand and the process seemed very simple. The turf installers were top notch - our backyard looks amazing. The crew that did the travertine border and rock did an excellent job. The crews were punctual, courteous and provided excellent quality in workmanship.
I found in Poco Verde the type of customer service that I thought seemed to be a thing of the past, I applaud them for providing such great service and quality.

From start to finish, Pocoverde Landscaping was a delight to work with. We have a patio home with a backyard that was in dire need of a facelift and had some drainage issues in our side yard. Our personal landscaper, Peggy McClain, was attentive to our wishes and developed our ideas in ways that we could not even imagine and she worked within our budget. She discussed different approaches to solve our drainage issues and used the materials we had on hand whenever possible. She even came up with a design to use the old Saltillo tiles that the previous owner had tried to use to expand the patio. We now have a mini patio in our front courtyard!
We had originally planned on adding a paver addition to our concrete covered patio but Peggy presented us with a design that showed us how we could add slim pavers over the concrete patio and continue with full size pavers for a more unified look. She was able to take my abstract idea of a planter wall and make it real with two striking capped stone walls that can also serve as additional seating.
The actual work that was done was impeccable. All the workers were pleasant. My husband was home much of the time they were working and remarked at how fast they worked and how they were dedicated to doing the work properly. He was particularly impressed with the job foreman, Luis, who explained what he was doing and answered all of his questions as they came up. At one point, I came home from work and noticed that the pavers in a 4x10 foot area had been laid so that the patio had a pitch to it as if for drainage. Peggy happened to stop by that evening to see how the work was progressing. I mentioned that the area had been a flat one and I was surprised that it now had a pitch. She didn't say anything at the time, but when I came home the next day, the pavers had all been removed. They re-laid the pavers the next day and the area was flat again. It turns out that the workers had been following the landscape plan to the letter. It said we were to have an 18" wall and the capstone made it taller than that so they raised the patio to match the plan!
All in all, we could not be more pleased with our experience with Pocoverde, in general, and we loved working with Peggy and Luis. They finished the job within the estimated time and within budget. We have received many compliments. Someone said we have a little oasis right in our own backyard. We look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

My previous home builder used this company. We added 900$ to builder money and had the tiny yard enhanced. The designer seemed difficult to work with but the yard came out well. We decided to use them again.We called and met a new pleasant designer at the new property. Another small front yard. We came up with a new plan. We offered $1800 as a new budget. Several days later we received a text telling us the job was too small, and not to call unless the job was at least$2500. These people wasted our time. They have gotten too big.

Just some understandable delays due to excessive heat. We are in AZ.

Paul Steven Austin was the person who did the work and he was the designer. It was a good experience. I have a small back yard. It was a little bit more than what I had expected to pay but they did a good job. They did an excellent job on the pavers. They got me a very good price on the pots. We did all one color pots and they put in different sizes. They irrigated the pots and planted them. They even did a little work in the front. We had a flow from the front to the back and they did a very good job. I would use them again in the future if I had the money and if I had projects as I don't have anything more to do. The crew that came out was great. I work on the phone from home and they were very good at working with me. They did a great job.

Done on schedule, on budget, responsive to desired changes during design process. Good company to work with.

Work was average at best.

This landscaper (Peggy) was responsive to our needs from start to finish, worked with us all the way. Other area landscapers were unresponsive - did not respond to emails or phone, This group had a good reputation and they deserve it.

POCO VERDE DOES A GOOD JOB ON THE LANDSCAPING BUT IS A LITTLE LACKING IN THEIR RESPONSIVENESS. THEY ARE BUSY SINCE THEY ARE THE LANDSCAPERS FOR MANY MAJOR BUILDERS. THEY ARE ABLE TO DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WITH THE YARD BUT THERE ISN'T A LOT OF ONE ON ONE SERVICE.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND PERFORMED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER FOR A REASONABLE PRICE.

THE WORKERS WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DILIGENT ABOUT THE REPAIR ON THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. ALSO THE TREE AND BUSHES ARE DOING WELL WHERE THEY PLANTED THEM.
