Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies

It went very badly!!  I only needed one of the five gallon containers and never opened the other one.  It was a stock color, not a special order.  When I called to return it to a neighborhood location I was told they would not take it back because it is a chemical.  It was listed under "Pool and deck paint", not chemicals.  I made the call after several attempts at getting a response to my e-mails.  It appears if they don't want to deal with you they just don't answer your e-mails!!  I finally called to ask about returning and was told that it was non-returnable.  I searched the web site for their return policy and could not find it.  When I spoke to one of their employees I was told the policy was under order information.  They have since changed their return policy (which I guess is commendable) to reflect that paint is not returnable but it was not there when I inquired.
I finally got an email response from one of their employees who was trying to work with me but yesterday I was informed by their corporate office her in Phoenix that they have no intention of doing anything for me.
I will never use this company again.  Anyone that is going to would be well advised to read the return policy first.  They don't allow you to cancel an order, (even within seconds of placing it!).  They don't allow you to refuse an order, and if they do allow a return they charge a 15% re-stocking fee!!

To cut through the punch-a-button maze on the 800 number, press 1 and then press 1 again. Once a year, I have Leslie's serviceman clean my pool's diatomaceous earth filter, and inspect and service the equipment. This service, which is more than an elderly woman can do by herself, seems to reinvigorate the pool equipment, making it easy for me to keep the algae out during the summer heat and causing the pool's self-cleaning gadget to perform at top capacity. At $85, the price is a lot better than weekly pool service. For free, staff at Leslie's retail stores will check the chemicals in a fresh sample of pool water and tell you what, if anything, needs to be done to balance the chemicals. Most times they have told me the chemical balance is fine, so I believe they're not trying to sell me anything I don't need.

AT FIRST THEY DENIED THEY HAD INSTALLED THE PUMP AND WE SHOWED THEM THEIR WORK ORDERS. THEY DENIED THAT THEY WERE REAL, SAYING WE COUNTERFEITED THEM. WE FINALLY GOT THE REPAIRMAN TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. THE LAST REPAIRMAN INSTALLED THE SECOND PUMP AS PROMISED AND APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY. THEY CARRY NO PARTS ON THEIR TRUCKS AND HAVE TO ORDER EVERYTHING RESULTING IN OUR POOL TURNING GREEN ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASIONS. THEIR PRICING IS TOO HIGH AND THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO REACH ON 800 NUMBER. TOO MANY TRIPS TO GET THE JOB DONE.
