INTERIOR REMODELING BY SIMMONS

The backsplash grout is cracking at the counter top as it has done in several places. While the first time the grout cracked, this company came out to fix it, the second time I was told it would be called "maintenance" and I would be charged, even though the work should still be under warranty. The first time it happened I was told that's common problem which surprised me. I don't think maintenance is an excuse for not fixing a problem created by the company. This was a special kind of grout and should not be cracking within months of the project's completion.

Great! The quality of work is excellent, the sub-contractors they work with are top notch, they show up when they say they will and the work is done pretty much according to schedule. The crew is polite and concerned about their impact on your working schedule (now that we are working from home).

Great! Our guest tub/shower valve no longer worked and they were able to replace the frozen valve, install new fixtures and, importantly, patch the drywall opened for the repair and resurface and paint it so you’d never know the wall had even been opened. They were also able to thoroughly seal, inside and out, our Master Ensuite windows where we’d had some rain come in during particularly hard storms and also patch a hole on the roof that may have been causing issues too. They also installed tile to the exterior threshold of our Master patio doors and regraded the slope away from the house to solve a water issue there, again in driving rains. They also repaired a small spot of water damage in the ceiling of one of our closets - would never know there had been an issue. No more leaks and, once again, the work was done promptly, efficiently, professionally and by people who are also friendly and entirely trustworthy. We’ve never been disappointed in our dealings with Dave and Clint and Fudi and have always been entirely pleased with the results. We’d highly recommend them.

After a very successful bathroom remodel by this company, we sought their assistance with some updating of our kitchen. This particularly involved changing several lower kitchen fixed-shelf cabinets to either drawers or new cabinet fronts behind which large sliding shelves were installed. Dave had any additional fronts made to match the existing cabinetry perfectly in colour, grain, style and profile. The amount, accessibility and ease of use of our kitchen storage was instantly vastly increased. They also installed much needed additional recessed and pantry lighting. While here, we also had them replace old exterior light fixtures and do a couple other needed minor upgrades and repairs. Once again, Clint and Fudi completed all work expertly, efficiently and professionally and cleaned the work area thoroughly at the end of each day. Their level of detail was incredible. Dave was always available for questions or updates and his suppliers were excellent. Everyone was great to work with and we’d highly recommend their services. Loving our “new” kitchen!

Our remodel has been done for awhile now, and every day we have to pinch ourselves - is this OUR house?! It was an EXTENSIVE remodel - two walls removed, two floors raised, a whole new kitchen and island, new flooring throughout, three ceilings raised, a new kitchen window, a new French door to the front patio, lots of AC duct work moved - and we lived in the house throughout the entire project! What made that possible was the thoughtfulness and extra work by everyone involved. Even though the kitchen was gutted, they left the kitchen sink and cabinet underneath in place until the last possible minute! They moved our old fridge from place to place until the new one was installed. And Clint and Foodie must have moved out washer and dryer out of the laundry room to the garage and back again at least five times so we had access to them at least on the weekends. And everyone left the house as clean as possible at the end of every day - supplies moved out or consolidated, floors swept - even though it would have been a lot easier to just leave everything in place for the following day. Everything turned out gorgeous! Dave and his crew really brought out vision to life. Everyone who's seen the finished remodel is just WOWED at the transformation. The kitchen is so beautiful! The cabinets are stunning and perfect in every way! The granite is a real show-stopper! They placed the new island in the perfect location - just what we wanted! And all the new can lights and three-way switches on dimmers bring the lighting into 2018. All the living spaces are so open and spacious now, and filled with natural light. And Dave's and Clint's suggestion to remove the old Saltillo tile and carpeting (no easy job!) and replace it all with one continuous type of flooring was the finishing touch to the whole project! And of course, that prompted raising the sunken floors in the living room and family room, which made a world of difference! Everything flows together now and feels SO much bigger and brighter! Everyone ALWAYS showed up on time, as scheduled, and were friendly and very pleasant to work with. They all were very detail oriented, and more than willing to do - and sometime re-do - things to our total satisfaction. Dave was on-site most days, and anytime we called him he got back with us very quickly, usually within a few minutes. We really can't imagine anyone doing a better job, and we would certainly use Interior Remodeling By Simmons again. If a beautiful, quality result is your goal, you can't go wrong with Dave and his entire crew!

We LOVE our new master bathroom - and all the other upgrades we got done by Interior Remodeling by Simmons. We found them on Angie’s List and, after meeting with Dave Simmons, we sought no other quotes as we were very impressed with his design ideas and knowledge and, frankly, his low-key, professional manner. He provided a detailed written proposal and a reasonable payment schedule that kept things on track. Our 30-year old adobe home had a huge tiled sunken tub in the Master ensuite that we never used in the 7 years we’ve been here and the separate tiled enclosed shower was dark and outdated. We now have a beautiful, bright, elegant open bathroom with all new tile flooring, a open-ended tile and glass shower with bench, stand-alone soaker tub, gorgeous double vanity with matching custom framed mirror and separate storage cabinet in a style keeping with our adobe walls, new quartz counter, all new fixtures and great new recessed lighting and chandelier, and new double-paned glass in three windows. They also retiled the surrounds of a double-faced fireplace between the Master bedroom and ensuite - done so neatly and skilfully - and then were meticulous in matching paint for the walks affected. The work was done largely by Clint Simmons and his colleague, Fudi, who were extremely proficient in all the work done and a pleasure to work with, arriving on time and leaving our home each day in an orderly, clean state. In addition, we had them replace the old cultured marble counter in a guest bath with granite and install new taps and custom framed mirror - beautiful upgrade. They replaced our old kitchen tap and their electrician replaced chandeliers in our kitchen and dining room and the ceiling fan in our Master - love the updated look! We selected all the needed plumbing and lighting fixtures and Dave obtained them at a very reasonable price. He never tried to upsell us - instead gave us great advice on where to find what we needed at reasonable cost. His suppliers and subtrades were great. The project was delayed a bit mid-job, awaiting the arrival of our soaker tub but that wasn’t Dave’s fault. We had to change our tub choice and the new one took longer than expected to ship from the East, holding up placement of the new drain and filling in the old “sunken tib hole”. But it was well worth the wait. Whole remodel is beautiful! Clint also repaired a crack in the Saltillo tile floor in our dining room in a manner that will keep the crack from expanding but also avoided what would have been a very messy and, I suspect, very noticeable replacement job of a few tiles in the midst of a large floor. Very pleased with their wise advice and very neat, detailed work throughout. Honest, skilled, creative, professional and all nice guys who were great to work with. We were extremely pleased with Dave, Clint, Fudi and their subtrades and suppliers. We would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend this company to others.

Dave was great to work with. We were out of town during the project. Dave made sure well details were addressed and shared lots of photos of the work in progress.

From start to finish it went very well. I needed to have a new external vent installed- for a microwave/hood combination and it was a challenging job that required cutting through an existing cabinet and the roof. The new vent was visible above the cabinet so it was boxed in with drywall, plastered (with rounded corners to match the existing style in my house), and then painted to match the wall. It looks beautiful! In addition I required a new cable to be run from the roof through the walls (Cox set cable up on roof, but they don’t fish) - again, the job was perfect. This is the second job the Simmons brothers have completed for me, and while quite small, was equal in quality to a more extensive remodeling job they completed for me a few months ago. These guys are professionals and whenever I have a large or small remodeling job, I won’t look around, I will call them. Their prices are fair and they are perfectionists- a winning combination for me!

This year, we have used Interior Remodeling by Simmons twice for separate home remodeling projects. Dave Simmons was always ready to answer questions or offer design guidance and showed great patience with us. Clint Simmons and his highly skilled crew provided excellent craftsmanship, arrived on time daily and set out to work diligently and with the utmost professionalism. A thorough cleanup was always completed at days end - indicative of the respect this company held for us and our home. We had a short timeline to move in and we wanted the work done before our move-in date. Dave had less than a month to coordinate all of the work. He started with the plumbing and sheetrock repairs, then completed the flooring, and the scheduled the painting. We were in frequent communication and everything was completed in time for us to have the cleaners come through before move-in. As always with Dave, the quality of the work was second-to-none. We've lived in the house for 2 years and have had no issues with the plumbing. The flooring looks great - vinyl planks laid out perfectly, impeccable grout lines on the tile. And the painter gets the cleanest lines I've ever seen. The other thing I appreciate about Dave is there are no surprises with the cost. When he gives you an estimate, that's what you can expect to pay.

These guys (the Simmons brothers) are awesome. You can tell from my comments above, they treat you like family and they treat your house like it's theirs. This is the second job we've had them do, and we're extremely happy both times. They show up when they say they will. They always do what they say they will. No BS. My wife is very comfortable with everyone she's met at this company. Happy wife = Happy me. Finished pictures are attached. The before was a 20 year old bathroom that was a "builders special". Generic cabinets with cheap brass fixtures and a light bar.

Everyone that worked on my remodel was great. I lived in my house with my four dogs through the entire process which included taking down and moving walls, and replacing doors and flooring. Going into the project I was very worried about how my dogs would be plus how we were going to be able to live there during the construction. Dave and all the guys were great with my dogs and quickly eased my concerns. I was at work during the day while they were at my house. Everyday when I came home they had cleaned everything and never left a mess. Their work was great and results turned out amazing. My project ran longer then expected largely because I added several additional projects like baseboards, new fans, and a custom made dog gate. Simmons was always willing to do the extra work and the project results were just what I wanted. I love my new remodel. I would recommend and plan to use them again in the future.

David and his brother did excellent work and we love the results We had a number of changes during the construction. Dave was quite helpful in guiding us to the right decision and he didn't "nickel and dime" us with change costs. The cabinet maker made a mistake that we decided to incorporate into our design. I am convinced that, if we decided it needed to be replaced, Dave would have agreed, even though it would have meant making no profit on the deal.

It went well. The quality of all of the work was outstanding- Dave Simmons functions as the contractor and his brother Clint (who is a perfectionist to the nth degree) does most of the work, with some help from another worker who was equally awesome. These guys are perfectionists, punctual, and get the job done right- If you need a fast remodel job, these are not your guys- but if you want high quality at a competitive price, these are the folks to hire. I will absolutely hire this group again. The work just doesn't get any better, and I have worked with many contractors and crafts people over the years.

Dave and Clint are brothers that run this company. Dave takes care of the sales, contracts, planning, etc. He is a great character that makes sure you're happy. His responsiveness to calls was fantastic. Every time he said he would show up, he did (usually a few minutes early). Clint is equally as nice, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He takes pride in his work and is anal about everything that is done. Exactly what I want for a contractor. There was never an argument or complaint from us through the whole process. Clint and Dave made this remodel as low stress as possible. That's worth a lot to me. At the end of the job, I searched for any issues. I spent an hour looking for anything I wasn't happy with. I ended up finding one small piece of baseboard that I wanted replaced. That was all I could find. Everything else was perfection. Their quality of work is fantastic. I am a picky *******, and I ended up very happy with their work. I will definitely use these guys for any future home improvements we do. You might find cheaper. You will not find anyone providing better work or anyone more honest. If you want the best, call these guys.

The master-bathroom needed absolutely everything changed. That included removal of walls, outside window, block work, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, extra electrical panels, lighting etc. They also had to remove the sunken tiled tub and shower stall, as well as the walls to our old walk-in  closet to make it into a large beautiful bathroom.
We do not feel that we could have found a more creative, diligent and professional team to do our remodel. We highly recommend Interior Remodeling By Simmons.

From the beginning we were kept informed on the schedule to start the remodel as well as the on-going schedule on a daily basis once started.  
They showed up on time on the days they were supposed to be here.
Dave Simmons ( the owner) worked with us in a very personal  and professional way in every aspect of the job from the initial design, picking out & procuring the materials and fixtures, positioning the shower fixtures for height (I am tall and my wife is short).
The area was kept clean and the clean up at the end of each day was excellent.
Due to medical test that were scheduled, Dave made extra trips to our home to make sure our dog had his medication, food and was let out.  
He made the process as painless as possible and I would recommend him to  anyone.

IMPECCABLE!!!  We could not be more pleased with Dave and his team.  He treated everything as if it was his own.  He was there whenever we had a question no matter how major or minor.  The quality of the work his team did is stunning and should be the standard by which others are measured.  We certainly have other projects to do and Dave will certainly be the one we call.  We would highly recommend Dave and his team, you won't be disappointed.  The only negative I can think of is that our water bill will likely go up since the whole family wants use the new bathtub now.  Ha! Ha! Ha!

The entire change was done with perfection.  We were very pleased with their work and the professionalism of their employees and the time element in which the project was completed.  The service was impeccable and we highly recommend Interior Remodeling by Simmons.

I've used Dave several times in the past and once again I totally pleased with the results. He guided me every step of the way to transform an unused bedroom into a functional media room. Dave replaced an old single pane arched window with a beautiful dual pane. Installed new tile that looks like wood planks and replaced the baseboard. It's the small details that sets Dave apart like painting the whole widow ledge outside instead of just touching it up. The spacing on the grout joints are perfect and the cuts to fit the baseboard are perfect. When they were finished the room was spotless as well as the any areas they were in. As always I'm 100% satisfied with is work and the ease of dealing with Dave and his crew. I've recommended Interior Remodeling by Simmons to all of my friends and family and would recommend that you give him a try also. You won't be disappointed. .
