"I don't know what company you used, but we have no record of you as a client. You're obviously thinking of a company with a similar name, and you certainly didn't contact us through Angi."
"Your review is full of false allegations that you made over two phone calls yesterday (in which you demanded all your money back no less), and are libelous. As mentioned yesterday in our conversation, virtually every single concrete subfloor in the Phoenix area has some form of cracking in it due to settlement of the home. This is normal, and we prep it with an anti-fracture membrane aka slipjoint material under tiled areas, following standards within our industry. The purpose of this material is to prevent as strong a bond with the tile and subfloor, ideally popping the tile loose instead of breaking it in the event of future movement of the crack. It is not a guarantee the tile won't crack, but is the best the industry has figured out from the top down to deal with cracks. We use this product on every single tile job, and it is completely standard. Also, you were not told that the anti-fracture membrane is only good for two years. You are making things up that we didn't say to put us in a bad light. Furthermore, the labor warranty in our industry is a period of two years, as mandated by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. This is standard among all licensed flooring installers. It is a protection for the consumer against labor related issues for what is considered a reasonable period of time for problems to develop, and is a protection for businesses against abuses such as your claim over 11 years later (invoice for your project on 4/3/2007). Put very simply, there is nothing that we can do to control the movement of your home's foundation. It is out of our area of expertise to give you direction on foundational issues, and most times cracks never develop into anything majorly problematic. There are many things which can impact cracks developing and movement of the foundation: improper grading of the landscaping causing water to drain under the home, improper pouring and/or prepping of the slab by the builder, expansive soil, etc. The fact that it has taken over a decade to get to this point, and by your own words, the problem got worse and worse over time, suggests a continually developing issue that you should have addressed sooner. This is an issue to take up with your home builder who poured the foundation and prepped the ground underneath. It is impossible for us to do anything to the foundation within our abilities to stop that movement. Just because the foundational problems of the home ruined our workmanship doesn't make the problem ours. And your insistence that we bear responsibility for informing you of what might happen in an extreme scenario is ridiculous, and there isn't a dealer in town that would have done differently. I understand that you are in an unfortunate situation and are looking for recourse, but this kind of issue is why you carry homeowner's insurance, and you are almost a decade out of warranty. We are not responsible for your worsening foundational issues, and you're welcome to contact the Registrar of Contractors for confirmation."

"Hi [Member Name Removed], thanks for the follow-up in leaving us a review. It's always very much appreciated! I'm glad you went with the tile option, since eliminating the transitional moldings should hopefully make for a much nicer experience, and hopefully serve your needs better. I enjoyed getting to know you throughout the course of our work. Best of luck, and take care of yourself! Steve Campbell Discount Floors, Inc."
