Deluxe Customs

It went miserably. I shipped my car to Buddy Hale for a full restoration. He said six months, it was four years and I finally took the car back, He tripled the price. The sub-contractors he hired were terrible. They stole parts from the car and the work is all just the pits. My radio was taken by a friend of Hale's and the interior removed by another. Hale left the car outside where in 100+ temperatures all of the wood cracked and split, yet Hale ignored my complaints. He subbed the engine work out and the mechanic dropped a transmission on my aluminum hood and they both pointed fingers at one another, after denying it to me. Ultimately Hale fixed it but now my virgin hood has a bondo nose. The doors don't close, they droop, the roof doesn't close right...it is a terrible, miserable job from a guy that has the ability to do great work but is not consistent. Hale is a likeable, charming guy...he needs to learn how to stand behind his errors as well as he thumps his chest on his magazine successes...that is the difference behind an amateur and a professional.
