data doctors didn't call me that week to tell me my laptop was ready, so I called the following week. I left a message for the woman I spoke with and left the laptop with, because she was out of the office. (She had told me her father/family owned the business.) I called 3-4 times, and she never returned my calls. I began to leave messages for other who worked there, and tried to get answers from whomever answered the phone. Finally, I reached a man who was willing to check the status of my laptop. He said it hadn't even been worked on yet. He said he would make sure the work was done. A few more days passed. Nine days after I dropped the laptop off for the repair that was to be completed in 3 days, I called and reached the woman I had originally given my laptop to. She told me that my laptop was ready, but was now at their other store in the town of Rio Rancho. She said I had to go there to pick it up. I was furious! I asked if there as anyone who could drop it off to me, and she said they do not provide that service! This exchanged to place late one Friday afternoon. I told her I was completely unfamiliar with the town of Rio Rancho, and knew from friends that ongoing construction made rush hour traffic there horrendous. I remined her I was (and am) disabled, and would not drive in traffice for an hour or more, without experiencing severe pain for the rest of the night. She said I could wait to get my laptop the next week, on Monday afternoon or Tuesday, that maybe someone would bring my laptop to the store I had originally taken it to. When I voiced my objection and my displeasure at these options, she made several hostile, rude comments, even using foul language (the "F" word, etc.) She indicating she thought I was an excessively damanding customer, as if it was MY fault I was upset, that I was somehow wrong for wanting my laptop back when it was promised, and available at the location I had taken it to. I was very shocked at her total lack of professionalism--her actions, her attitude, her language, etc. In 35+ years of being a customer in the US, I had NEVER been treated so badly by a business manager, let alone an owner! She assumed NO responsibililty for anything that had/had not happened, and she provided no reasoning for the delay in the repair. In fact, she acted as if it was perfectly acceptable to return the laptop in 9 or 10 days rather than 3 days. She seemed to have forgottne our conversation about why I needed the laptop back as soon as possible. I was extremely upset, frustrated, and angry so I left and drove home, so I could calm down. Once I felt calmer, I called the Rio Rancho Store, and managed to speak with the tech who had repaired my laptop. I explained my situation; he said he was not surprised at the owner's attitude or language, but he did not understand why she had the laptop taken to another location, "except maybe to punish you for something!?" I was speechless. He seemed very uncomfortable with what how I had been treated. When I told him where I live, he said I right in not coming to that location. Then he told me that he lived near where I live, and offered to bring my laptop to my home, on his way home. Wonderful! As it turned out, he did deliver my laptop to me, I gave him payment for the work, and told him I would NEVER go there again. He told me he was planning on leaving the company... Shortly after this, I was at my chiropractor's office for an appointment, and the woman from the company who was the source of so much grief was there! My blood pressure soared instantly! She acted as if nothing had happened! I had shared my ongoing experience with my chiropractor, and did not want to put her in the middle, so I said nothing. I tried to make appointments to avoid seeing her again, but was unsuccessful. After leaving twice without my treatment to avoid having to see this woman (it was a small office), I stopped seeing this chiropractor. This is now nearly 5 years later. I have not thought about this until needing a professional computer repair service. When I saw this business listed by name but not rated,I decided to write my first report. I don't want anyone else experiencing what I did, even if it is "only" a serious delay in completion of the repair! I believe the woman I dealt with is still running the Wyoming store. I do not know if there has been the necessary improvement in the level of professionalism there to warrent a less negative rating.
