They came and told us they thought we just needed a new filter. When we got back from our vacation we discovered it was still underperforming, so they came in again and said the starter cup and coils needed replacing. We replaced the starter cup but not the coils due to the cost. It seems to be working well now and we're saving up for a new air conditioner.

They are very, very efficient and proficient.

The cost was around $16,000 for two heat pumps and air handlers.

He explained everything that he did when he came out and he did agree with some of the things that the other company had mentioned but he gave us a really good price and he gave us a break on the work that was being done. He's professional and I could trust him.

I figured my existing heat pumps were living on borrowed time as they were the original units and were now 23 years old, so I decided to get quotes to replace them before the summer heat hit. I got 2 other quotes besides Brewer's, one of which was higher and one was lower, but neither company quoted me Trane units as I had requested. It just so happened that my next door neighbor (his house is the same model as mine) was getting both his A/C units replaced by Brewer's and I noticed they were installing Trane units. I called Brewer's to get a quote, and their rep came out that afternoon. They actually offered to do the install the next day, which was in contrast to the other companies, as one needed 2 weeks, and the other one wanted a month to schedule my install. I opted to schedule the install the following week as the temps were going to be a bit cooler.
The installation went very smoothly. The installers arrived at about 7:30 am on the designated day. They put down tarps in all locations where they were going to be working. As the air handlers were in the attic and the crawl space entrance was only a 2 ft by 2ft opening, so they had to cut out a space where one of the return air vents was to get the old equipment out and the new equipment in. Once they finished, their work area around the vent looked better than before. Both compressors and air handlers were installed and working by 2 pm. The other 2 companies that I got quotes from said it would take them 2 days for this job. As I was getting new digital thermostats as part of the package, one of the installers walked me thru the programming process prior to their departure. They kept things very clean as they worked, and when they were done, all their work areas were spic and span.
A couple of weeks after the installation, I was pleasantly suprised to get a call from Brewer's wanting to schedule a QC visit. This wasn't something that any of the companies had mentioned, so I don't know if the other 2 companies would have done this, but it's definately a good idea to have this type of follow up to make sure everything is performing properly after it's been up and working for a while.
Overall, I am very pleased in my dealings with Brewer's Air Conditioning.

Technician Chris Smith arrived on time and completed a thorough inspection of the heat pump and air handler. He located 2 parts that were no longer meeting specification and replaced them, possibly saving a service call for later during the
hot AC cycle. When the inspection and repair was completed he cleaned the coils. He was neat and tidy.

This was a warranty service call from a separate company who contracted Brewers to perform the work. I had no choice in the service provider and Brewers would not have been my first choice. However, Jose, did a fantastic job, was very knowledgeable. I got the impression that he wanted nothing more than to do the job right, and I haven't had any issues with the unit itself since the repairs.

8/2/2012 REVIEW: I found these guys because I needed a second opinion on my AC units in Chandler AZ. They were punctual and courteous and businesslike. I was please enough with their service that when I saw were having a sale on Trane warranties I signed up for the warranty and annual service. Since then I have had them out a few times and each time they've been pretty good. Once however I thought their tech had done something wrong because afterward there was a taptaptaptap noise in the wall and ceiling after he left. Without complaint they sent someone back twice to check it out. Each visit they were punctual and professional. The second time the fellow realized it was an AC feed pipe the builder had just left un strapped in the wall and it had started rattling. I don't know what he did, but he said he fiddled with it in the million-degree attic and since then the noise has stopped.

5/5/2014 UPDATE: these guys rock. Generally speaking I don't have the time to write reviews. But seriously I have had years of experience with these guys and not once have I had a problem with their service and I am writing now because my AC died and I called them 1/2 hour ago and they worked me in to the end of their day to take a look at things. Same day service. Who does that any more? Without charging an exorbitant penalty anyway? Nobody else as far as I know. So, I had to share.

They do a good job. I have a contract with them.

I would definitely use them again. I was pleased with their work.

Overall the experience went very well. He arrived quickly, did the work and now everything is working fine.

Ask him just to visually inspect and make sure the other units were working and he wouldn't without an extra $59 a unit. I found the original price to be a little high considering it the work performed and thought since we didn't have the vents properly adjusted according to him that he could do the same for the units, would have taken at most 10 more minutes.

We really like that they respond quickly when we're in need of their services. We feel like they're rather competitive as well. They've been in our area ever since we came here so we've always gone to them.

The air handler stopped working in the early evening hours the day before. I called Brewers the next morning and they sent Joseph who arrived shortly before noon. He determined the problem to be a bad control board but didn't carry the part. He called his office and told me they had the part and how much it cost. I agreed to proceed and he drove to the office and got the board. He returned before 1pm and had my AC back online before 2pm. He even checked the pressures and electrical of my unit when I mentioned my concern that the unit had ran for two hours without the blower. Joseph was professional, expedient and thorough. A great job that will have my family sleeping better tonight.
