ADT Security Services

Found out I was being overcharged. Called to cancel to go with another company. It took 30 minutes and the agent said it was my fault because I need to call in and get in on a cheaper plan. So I needed to call and prompt them for competitive pricing. Got it.

We have been with ADT for 10 +years now. We have had an occasional alarm going off to which we were alerted by phone by ADT. However, recently we have had a host of alarms going off for no obvious reason. We contacted ADT by phone but they were pretty clueless. They then sent out a serviceman who ' fixed ' the problem. Two days later we repeated the cycle again. Turns out the first serviceman had used a piece of tape to secure a sensor. The sensor was then glued in place. 1 week later the carbon monoxide sensor started emitting this ear piercing sound. Once again, phone support was useless. One operator went so far as to say that ADT did not monitor carbon monoxide. Serviceman number 3 opined that the sensor needed replacing and showed me how to deactivate the sensor. We are now awaiting serviceman number 4 to replace the sensor.

I like their punctuality and professionalism. They did everything they said they would do. They seem to know their stuff.

they install the new alarm system in our new home. we were told we would get a $100 Visa card after paying $100 install. never did receive the $100 Visa card after the install. call to refry times regarding it but got the runaround. happy with the alarm system but not happy about getting my hundred dollars back.

I would rate them A overall.

Their price is ok but its because I don't know what others charge. We haven't had any problems but when we have they are always right here. The people we deal with their have been great.

The sales people and phone representatives were good. I was having new windows installed and I tried to coordinate between the installation and the ADT service guy so they could all be there. The representative who came to the house was challenging. He knew what the drill was but he put up attitude and did sloppy work.

We used them for 4 years at that house and 3 years at our previous house. They were great. Twice our alarm went off when we were on vacation and they followed protocol and the police came out. We felt secure with their service. They did the installation for free, which was nice.

They were prompt, and thorough. The price they gave me worked perfectly. I would recommend them. They fulfilled my needs.

They were responsive, answered all the questions we had.  I had a different alarm system installed and they had to come out the second time so they had a specialist come this time.  He was really good and went around the house setting up new contacts.

We are satisfied with that. We moved into the house and the system was owner owned. It was just seamless, because we had a system in the other house. It was very nice and very easy.

I am satisfied with the services. I would use them again.

They've always been highly professional and responsive. I give them all A's. I've even asked them if they can keep the price down for me, and they've made adjustments because I'm a long-time customer. I feel they've done good by me.

The house was already prewired so I had a contract with them. I never had any issues with them, but sometimes when I would have company over, they would accidentally set the alarm off. I never got any check-in phone calls from ADT after this happened so I think I deactivated the alarm quickly enough before they called.

I did have some billing issues with them, but thy did get resolved. Every year it seemed like I need to call them and questions charges on my bill.

We have one for a long time. It has been several years.  I am pretty happy with ADT.  They are different vendors for selling the system and doing the monitoring.  The monitoring is done out of some national place.  The vendors come and go. We pay them by the month.  They are fine.  We never had to use them for anything.  The alarm system works and they monitor it.  We never had an alarm.  They send us the bill and we pay.  We get a discount through our insurance company.  I will continue to use them in the future.   There is a Brazilian company out there that is selling ADT equipment and they represent themselves as ADT.  I am talking about the national company from a monitoring standpoint.  It is not the individual vendors who sell the equipment and say they are ADT and they are doing business as something else.

I just had a good experience with them, they are very professional, punctual, and friendly.  They were helpful, knowledgeable, and good.  I haven't compared them to others, as this is the first security system I have ever had. 

They were professional.  They did everything as agreed.  We got it on a special.  Their installation was good.  I had three windows redone.  The fee to come out and change the alarms on those windows was exorbitant.  That was one thing negative about them.  They charge too much for follow up calls.

The people who owned my house prior to me used them. They didn't take it out and it started malfunctioning and the battery kept beeping. I called them to take the system out and they wanted to charge me $80.00. They also told me I could disarm it with the use of a ladder. I'm disabled and couldn't do it. They refused to send someone out without charging me. They were very rude to me about it. I've also used them in the past for business. I've found them to be unresponsive and I had to stay on top of them all the time.

There are other services that are less expensive, on a per-month basis, but they are self-install systems. Instead I had someone come to install the system, who was prompt, knowledgeable and did the job quickly.

Poorly.

I have only had it for a week or two so it's been fine.

I have to say I had such a wonderful experience with ADT... They were so quick to get in and get my alarms set up. THANK YOU ADT!

They installed the alarm efficiently and worked with us to provide what we wanted. They were reasonable in price.

I have used them for years and would highly recommend them to members of Angie's List. I like how responsive they are at answering all my questions and if there is a problem, they call or send the police. They are always in touch with us. I have not had any break-ins since I have had them. They have a good staff.

I had a lot of people coming to my door, offering different systems, and around three months ago, the people from ADT came. I liked the guys and they seemed very professional. Their price is acceptable, and I'm happy with the service so far.
