Great. It is cooling like it should - especially in these hot summer months in AZ.

Did not go well as follows: 1. Car overheated. They said heads were cracked on our 2000 low mileage Lexus and repair would be $5,100 which was about what car was worth. Took car to dealer. Heads were fine and car was repaired for $2,000. 2. Said we needed new hoses. Checked with other shops. One said "if it was my car I wouldn't replace them". 3. Said engine mount was torn and required replacement. Checked with another shop. They said engine mount was fine.

I used to go to the dealer, but my maintenance contract ran out. They gave me a price, and then I went to Wilhelm and they were $100 cheaper. They do excellent work and they guarantee their work for 24 months or 24000 miles. 



I went there to make sure that what the dealer told me was correct, and what their price would be. They came in lower and I liked their warranty, it's usually like 90 days or 6 months at the most. They were very professional and helpful. They made an appointment right away and kept their appointment, they picked me up and drove me home. 

Think 3 valley locations now.  Great reputation.  Courteous.  Course you never know about the quality until it's too late......!

It went well and I was pleased with their work. Everything went smoothly. They completed the work on time. I'd recommend them to friends or family members. Overall it was a good experience.

We called the day before for an appointment as opposed to walk-in service. We are new to the area and found them on Angies List. We arrived approximately 30 minutes before our appointment but they took us early and we didn't have to wait. All of the staff we dealt with were knowledgable and professional. Nancy, the first person who checks you in and gets your appointment going was exceptional. Not only is she professional she knows her job inside and out! Plus, any other help you might need she is ready. We are new to the area and needed directions to our next appointment. She knew exactly where it was and gave the easiest directions possible! This is the place we will take our truck for any and all service it will need.

The owner actually drove the car around to see what the problem was. He has done that with other cars if he doesn't know what the problem is to pinpoint the problem,. We have used them once or twice before and other family members have used them. It is a smaller shop. They do have a waiting room. They were lower priced. We would consider using them again.

Lucky I knew something about this engine.. They did what I asked promptly and did it well! But I was put off by the high price parts oversell. I would go back anytime as long as I know exactly what needs to be done. They were very professional the whole time. Truck is running great again

They were totally professional. They thought maybe something else was wrong but wanted us to drive it awhile to see if it leaked again and then bring it back in for the more expensive procedure. The oil gasket was the problem and there was no need for further repair. We were very pleased because they could have gone ahead and replaced the other part and charged us more......we wouldn't have known the difference, but they didn't. Their honesty and professionalism has sold us on Wilhelm/Surprise. On another car that they service regularly, we were going on a trip and took it in to make sure they thought it was okay.. They checked everything, gave it a clean bill of and quot;healthand quot; and didn't charge us.

I asked for 2 specific services. An oil change and diagnostic. I received the oil change, but instead of diagnostic, they told me that I needed new brakes and rotors, and Volvo only sold breaks with rotors.
There is no dos. Don't use this business.

I had been putting off some repairs to my car for months. Then my mother in law gave me the name and number of Wilhelm Automotive.
While we did experience an issue regarding the transmission repair, David took care of the problem quickly and even provided me a rental car. Would be happy to recommen them and will definately use them again.

It is very difficult to find an auto shop that you can trust and depend on for quality work. Wilhelm's automotive is to be praised for both. They have had several opportunities to overcharge me and have never taken advantage of my lack of auto knowledge. Once they even suggested that I don't fix a particular problem because it would be too expensive and not really necessary. Last week my car wouldn't start and they diagnosed the problem over the telephone. I had the car towed in and they finished replacing the alternator the very next morning. They also provide transportation to and from their facility. Everyone there has been so friendly, honest, and professional. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for service.

They have done an excellent job.

They did a good job. They left my car clean and it was done on time. I would encourage them to offer this deal more often.

They give out coupons. I had $25 off. My overall experience with them was good. The price was about $25 more than I expected it to be.

Wilhelm Automotive Service went very well. I called them a few days before they repaired my car and asked questions about their company and called them the day before the repairs were done. They told me to bring my car in early the next morning and were done fixing my car by the afternoon the same day. I was very impressed with the employees that delt with me and very happy with the job they did on my car. I also felt they charged a fair price. I will definitly use them again and will reccommed their
business to others.

I was extremely satisfied from start to finish. I called first and told them the repairs the dealer had said I needed. I asked if I could get a quote on the repairs. The serviceman said he would have to call me back with the price. He called back within a half hour, quoted the price. I set up an appointment for Saturday morning. Walked in, handed my keys, within a minute I was shuttled back to my house with an extremely friendly worker. When work was done, the shuttle picked me up, and I picked up the car. They had a 10 percent off coupon on their website which I used.

Very excellent service in every aspect of business.

We had a lot of work done. They explained everything very well as to what needed replacement and why. They were very timely and quick with the work. They told us exactly how long the work would take. Their prices were a little bit high, but I think their hourly rate was well worth it because they took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and so forth. I thought they were well qualified.

I have a Lexus and I was tired of paying Lexus prices. For a 30,000 mile checkup they wanted $780. It was to change the oil and check all the fluids. We moved to the westside of town and I had always used them before. I stopped in and told them that I didn't have all my fluids checked when I had the 30,000 mile check and it was time for an oil change. I asked if they could check them. They said they would do a full check out on my car and change the oil. I wanted them to also look at the tires. I can drop my car off at night and put my keys in the drop box so it is ready for them to work on in the morning. They called me at 10 am and said that the air filter looked kind of dirty but everything else checked out fine. They said I should change the air filter. They called at 10:30 and said that the car was ready. They sent a girl from their office to come and get me. The total bill was $56. I told him I was expecting more and he said that he could add more if I wanted them to. The car is running fine. I will absolutely use them in the future and I told my husband to start taking his Hummer there. We had used them previously for 5 years until we moved. I am thrilled to be back out here because when you find a good mechanic; they are worth their weigh in gold.

I spend about $ 50 for that service. I would tell others that they have been in the business forever and ever and they are very reliable. They don’t try to sell me something that I don’t need. I think that their pricing is competitive with the market.

All of the repairs that needed to be done were diagnosed and explained to me in detail. This made it easier to justify spending over 2 grand on a 10 year old vehicle. I have been other places in town and always walk away feeling "had". (if you've ever had the $8.88 oil change, you know what I mean). I feel they fixed only the things that needed fixing, and did it at a fair price. That is all I am looking for.

We went into Wilhelm to get a simple oil change. In the process of doing the oil change they accidentally stripped the threading on the plug at the bottom of the pan. When my fianc e confronted them regarding the issue she got the run around. When I confronted them I watched them dance around accepting blame and even saying this is a common problem on this car. They tried to use an over-sized plug to fix the issue (which they made me pay for) and that only made it leak more oil. I took the car to the dealer and they showed me the evidence and said Wilhelm was at fault. I did not want to take any legal action, but I would not go back.

They are a family owned business and are extremely nice. If you need a ride anywhere while they are working on the car, they take you and bring you back when they are done. The mechanics can work on any kind of car and that is real nice.
