Qual-Tech A/C & Heating Inc-Surprise

Qual-Tech came out to do the annual checkup on our 2 AC units through OneGuard Home Warranty. Chris was the tech that came out and he did a nice job. The access to one of the air-handlers is difficult to get to and more difficult to get through due to its small size. Chris handled it with aplomb. Both units were checked out and cleaned out. One of the units had leaked 2# of freon. It looks like the leak was through a slightly loose fitting. OneGuard also arranged to have "5-2-1 Compressor Savers" installed on the 2 units at no cost. These will control the startup surge for the compressor and help to prolong the life of the AC unit as if the compressor goes so does $$$ to replace the AC unit. The cost was $69 for 1 unit and another $30 for the 2nd unit. So the tuneup was a total of $99. Replacing the freon is a known additional service call charge of $69. The 2 pounds of freon added another $100. Total cost of $268.

Excellently. Christian arrived on time, was especially courteous and neat, and seemed truly motivated to exceed my expectations. As long as he was at our house doing this job, I asked if he could also perform a heat check on our two furnaces, which he did. I will not hesitate to call Qual-Tech for my future HVAC needs. It's reassuring to know there is a service provider out there that can be trusted and seems genuinely interested in earning your business.

The Technician Christian showed up when he said he was going to. I actually called them and told him that i had a dentist appt. at the same time he was supposed to be here and instead of making me reschedule, he just asked me for a better time after my appt.. He came out and did a thorough checkup and found a number of capacitors that were out of specs and advised me to call my home warranty company to get those taken care of because they can be very pricey when getting several replaced! Very nice and courteous customer service!!! Great Job!

Qual-Tech is a service provider for our home warranty company. I called to arrange for the pre-season check and tune-up that runs $69 for the 1st unit and $30 for each additional unit. The tech, Christian, showed up during the arranged time window. Neat, friendly, professional - all those good things. I knew ahead of time that any problems requiring repair parts would be covered under a single additional service charge by the home-warranty company. He found a failing capacitor in the first unit. The cap was the original from when the house was built in 1988. The capacitor in the other unit's air handler had also fallen way below spec and was replaced. It too was the original. Both caps were replaced under the single service fee charged by the home warranty company (with which I've also been very happy). Everything was done in a timely fashion, both units are working fine. There was no mess to clean up so nothing to say about cleaning up! Christian answered all my questions including, especially, the dumb ones. 

I'm more than satisfied with the job done and the price and would definitely recommend Qual-Tech to others.

Right from the beginning everything was done professionally and courteously.  Christian introduced himself at the front door and handed me his card.  He asked the necessary questions to start to diagnose the problem and then went right to work.  He quickly diagnosed the trouble and even took a picture of it to show me when he came down out of the attic.  He obtained the parts necessary and tested everything then re installed the parts and tested the system.  When he was finished he explained everything that he had done and provided a copy of the invoice.  Couldn't ask for anything more than that.
