H2O Pool Service

This is a long one, but please read: We started our service with this company and had our first service done on 4/8/20 and we received emails after each service giving us our levels and any concerns. They also would snap pictures and attach them to the email, but sometimes we had pictures of other peoples pools, so it left us wondering if the information on the email was even for us? They also completed repairs for us at extra charge of course, which were needed. When I first contacted this company to inquire on their fees for service, I was told by Steve with H2O $25 a week billed monthly and will charge a month in advance, but there was one bill I questioned, because it was a little over than expected and my response was because they had to use chemicals in the pool....I thought to myself okay, but kept an eye on the following monthly charges. Recently we had an email from our weekly service on 6/10/20 that said "needs new intellichlor for salt system, previous owner of house put too much salt in water as well." and an email from their company indicated that their employee placed the chlorine tab floater in the pool to maintain the chemical levels in balance, so that our pool wouldn't turn green, which is what we were told when we asked about the extra charges on the recent bill. After this notification we scheduled a work request through our home warranty for the intellichlor (salt cell) and the company that was sent came to our home on 6/17/20 and found that the salt cell was on upside down and then when this technician saw the chlorine tab floater in the pool we were told to immediately remove it, because it will damage our salt water system. Then when we notified our pool service we were not rude about their mistake and actually thanked them for letting us know there was an issue with the salt cell, but we couldn't help to wonder if this was sabatoge. Also, I have to add that you need anything on the pool repaired you will be charged an extra $85 just for a repair tech to come to your home to tell you what needs to be done. With this information our pool light was out when we purchased our home and asked how much it would be to repair through them and we were told the following: The light depends on what is wrong with it. $175.00 – $1,100.00. We decided against repairing it after we received this response. All in all we ended up having to pay for a new $1000 salt cell and canceled with H2O. The person in charge of replying to emails at this company is quite rude and unprofessional, so be prepared to feel like your the bad guy and that they do no wrong......be warned!
