"Thank you [Member Name Removed], for taking time to post. Its always a pleasure to work with you. These decisions are pretty easy for me and not for the person who doesn't do it on a regular basis. That's why I love what I do. I have fun making people's homes look great and making the homeowner happy. Deborah Goodacre"
"Please enter what you would like the response to look like:Hi there to the [Member Name Removed]. thanks for the review. Loved your paint colors too especially the office and dining room. Its so much fun when its the right color. Appreciate your comments. Thanks, Deborah"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], Thanks for the quick response and great comments. Your description of how the consultation went and how you felt about my advice and recommendations will certainly help others have a good understanding of what its like to work with me. Decorating is a very personal business; lets face it - you'll be living with the changes and additions we make to you house for a long time. It is very important that I am as happy with the end result as you are. Not kidding at all. I'm looking forward to our next step. I'll check my lighting man's schedule and give you a call. Sincerely, Deborah"
"Thanks for putting a bit "A" up there but we are right in the middle of getting things done. We have improved the lighting immensely: condos have light from one only and this created a big problem. We have ordered the furniture and will be selecting the wall colors this week. Can't wait to see it all pulled together. Then you can tell readers more about how your home away from home was transformed. Thanks"
"Thanks [Member Name Removed], once he house is built then we can get busier as finding the right items to go with what you bring with you. I did like the dining table and chairs you showed me. Are you going to get them? It was the perfect length."
"This was truly a wonderful experience for both of us. Being disabled she had limited time to shop so I worked with my person at my favorite furniture store to put together three scenarios of furniture, fabrics etc. We arranged to have all the pieces set together to make it easier for her to see our design choices. We needed to go no further than the first set design. She liked my favorite one! We painted her home before the new items arrived and I was able to save her some dollars on the re-matting of some old art pieces. It really is a nice transition. I was there for the delivery, set up her furniture arrangement, set out some accessories, arranged her book shelf and we were good to go. We are now waiting for the installation of new draperies in her living room and dining room. Nice lady, nice project. I am happy with the way it went and so happy to be able to remake this lovely woman's home."
"This was a fun project indeed and the kind that makes me happy because of the circumstances: someone sizing down and having to make a move later in life. Not easy to say the least. But attitude is everything and Leila had a great one about this time of her life. So happy to help you make your new place a home that shows your personality and surrounds you with the things that hold memories for you and that make you happy."
She gives attention to the smallest of details that enhance the overall harmony. The entire redesign project was delightful.
"This was a big project, moving from one large home to another. The architecture of the two homes was very different yet selecting the right wall color to support their furniture and art made all the difference in the world. Now the home is colorful yet quiet and calm. There many details to this move other than just placing the furniture; several book case units, hanging lots of art and arranging all the mementos that are meaningful to both of the homeowners. This has been fun for me and I know both of them are happy with the end result. Thanks for the wonderful report! Deborah"
"Thank you for the very nice report. This client was one who had never worked with a decorator and wasn't sure just what she wanted. In fact, she was a bit leery of what I would do to her house. Working side by side helped her to see the "big picture" and she was able to make decisions easily. This is why I work the way I do; keeping the homeowner by my side, including her (them) in the decision making process. It works for me and for them. Ordering a few new prints and framing them along with her old art was so much fun and the results added to the finishing touch of the rooms. It always amazes me and the client loves it. We have a few more things to do but they are taking a break and enjoying all the new items and touches in the house. Thanks again!"
"I've been waiting for this and it doesn't surprise me. Unfortunately it was impossible to assist this client. She had researched tons of possibilities for her house gathering magazine clippings, images of rooms from Houze and Pinterest but still could not make a decision. Even after hours of shopping and finally selecting some items she liked, the next day she told me she felt confused and "lost". Leading and guiding clients to make decisions is what I do all the time. This was my worst scenario; someone that can never come to a decision. I understand it was frustrating for both of us. It is not my desire to sound defensive but I must report that two of the service providers who met her told me it would most likely not be possible to please her and that she would not be satisfied and blame me for the end result. I felt it was best for both of us to severe the relationship in the hopes that she can find someone else who can lead and guide her in her efforts to make a decision. It is unfortunate, to say the least but at least the decision was made early enough so as to not waste more time and money. I wished her luck with her project."
"Nothing like a satisfied client! Nothing like getting my hands on a project where the homeowners are as nice and easy to work with as the two of you! No wonder I love my job, it's fun and so gratifying to be able to lead and guide a client through a renovation and the selection of new furniture. You made it easy for me, or did I make it easy for you?? Most likely a lot of both. That's what makes it go so well; someone that is ready to make the changes and is easy to work with. I think we need a few new lamps don't we? Maybe a new chandelier in the kitchen? Let's see what the new year brings, I'm always ready to help. Thanks to both of you for a wonderful critique and thanks for being easy to work with, such a lovely couple."
"Thank you for the detailed review. You only needed a bit of advice here and there but it all added up to some nice changes that got you where you wanted to go with your decorating. Such fun to use what people already have and see the look in their eyes when the balance comes into focus. Hope both of you are doing fine. Thanks again, Deborah"
We made our deadline and are continuing with the selection and hanging of art and other details. We definitely appreciate her expertise and hard work!
"While a project of this size can be overwhelming to most homeowner's, this woman was not daunted by what needed to be done. She was a very good participant and did a lot of research herself so when we went shopping she was up on the latest details and information about various products. This enabled her to make the timely decisions necessary to meet her deadline. I really love taking a home that had not been updated in many years and redoing it starting from the bottom up. It was hard work at times but I don't mind cracking the whip to get things done. Not only did we renovate the kitchen and powder room but we purchased all new furniture for the living room, family room and two of the bedrooms. The paint colors, one of my favorite things to do, turned out super great and added the finishing touch to the furnishings. The house is definitely transformed; I love the results and so do both of the homeowners. I just need to find a few more pieces of art and then we can take a final photo to show off what we accomplished. Thank you for being a good sport and walking through the entire process with me."
She has a narrow list of preferred providers she works with, but they proved to be a perfect match for this large project. Deborah worked closely with our professional paint team ( we selected) and provided them with a detailed plan, color by color along with photos and paint colors to be used.
I would highly recommend Deborah with out any reservation. She has high standards, and I was pleased to know I could count on her to critique the quality of other vendor's work and assure it was corrected with out us having to micro-manage. She's great!
"Wow, thanks for the great (and very detailed) critique. Its important for readers of these reviews to understand the details of the project and you certainly painted the project in detail. Thank you for the time you took to do so. Loved working with both of you and appreciate your involvement and for expressing your viewpoint clearly. It made my job much easier. Last but not least, you are not afraid of color. Many deep color accents were used on the walls and in the draperies; jewel tones, how dramatic! The end result is so stunning. Thanks again, loved working with you and so happy that you are satisfied with the results."
"This was a fun project for me and of course, fun people to work with. Both of the homeowners had an idea of what they wanted. We kept the living room sofa and love seat as they were barely used and incorporated new tables, chairs, lamps and an area rug to fill in and finish the look. Then we completely furnished the family room with new furniture, a new dining room set with an exquisite chandelier, draperies throughout the house and of course wall color. Great transformation. Many other additional accent pieces while keeping the important items she had collected along the way or been given as gifts. This is important to me; to give the homeowners what they want and to give the house a personality that suites them. I know I am reiterating what you already know but wanted to let any reader in on more information. So glad you are happy with the end result. I think it looks great too. Thanks for being so responsive and involved in the project, that's my style of work and the end result is always what the homeowner expects and anticipates. See ya soon!"
"Thanks so much for the wonderful report. As you know, creating new living rooms is one of my favorite things to do, just love them. Every thing turned out so cool and we used many items you already had such as lamps, the area rug and lamps. It is such fun for me to have a client like you, so easy to work with. I think both your dreams and mine for the room came true. Thanks again, Deborah Goodacre"
"Hi there, I appreciate your highest rating, thanks a bunch. Folks out there, if you are reading this, I want to tell you how much fun it was to work with these people and how much we have improved the overall look and feel to their home. We adjusted the lighting, hung fantastic chandeliers, changed the flooring in most of the house and are in the process of painting. There is a bit more to come but I can tell you that they are really happy. Both of the homeowners are very analytical and have appreciated my approach to making improvements to their home. Now, we can only hope that the Mrs. has a few minutes to add some of her own comments which I know are valuable to all of you searching for someone to step in and help with your decor. I love it!!"
"Thanks for your very nice comments. Decorating is a process and I truly believe everyone can do it as they can afford to do so. I'm pretty fast once I get to know a client and their wants, needs and style. What it cost is minimal compared to the cost of furnishings and the cost of making mistakes. Let me know when you get your new furniture as I would love to come by and see them and the walls once you get them painted. You and your husband were fun to work with. Decorating should be fun, right? Thanks again, Deborah"
"(Member name removed), continue to check on the materials you want to use in the house and then we can get started on the actual redo of the floors, etc. Nice meeting with you, your home is lovely. Deborah"
entire project went very smoothly and was well sequenced.
"Thank you for the report. I really enjoyed helping you to make your home decor more complete. It looks so inviting, glad you like it."
She came to my condo, we made a plan and then went shopping together for furniture, carpet and countertops. Next we met with contractors and set up a date to start and finish the projects.
Deborah has an amazing eye for color furniture arrangement.
"That was fun wasn't it? This is how it should go, smoothly with the homeowner involved so you can imagine what the end results will be. Love your place, so inviting, so interesting and the colors, oh the colors! Interesting how that all worked out! Really terrific. You were easy to work with and I enjoyed the time we spent together on your project. If you have any further needs or questions I'm here to help you. Thanks again, Deborah"
"I loved working with you on the improvements to your home. Thanks you for your kind comments and I too, look forward to seeing what you would like to do next. It was fun finding just the right color choices for the tile and paint. The kitchen looks great! Thanks again, Deborah"
"Oh Member, you do go on! How great to read your report. You are my favorite kind of client. You really needed me and you appreciate what I can do for you.
