The Weatherguard representative was very professional and was quite attentive in listening to my problems and concerns and was very professional in detailing the work that needed to be done and we were committed to proceeding with the work. Weatherguard's main customer base consists of businesses and large contracts and not to a traditional homeowner such as I. Because of this, the work took longer than I expected. The company provided a worker (yes one) to come to my home whenever they had one available who wasn't otherwise engaged on a larger project. My home was a "small" job for them. Eventually they did get the work completed and I ended up with several workers completing the job over several weeks. This was a little frustrating but the end result was a very professional looking and beautiful roof. After the first rain we developed a small leak (which I still have) and they did respond twice. Unfortunately for me, the warranty (1 year) expired before the leak was ever completely repaired. I don't blame them for the leak, it was over a skylight in our main bathroom that was extremely difficult to repair but it would have been nice to have had that fixed. I love the idea of not having to replace my roof again. If you hire them, be prepared for some delays in completing the work and make sure that any known leaks are attended to before they start laying down the metal.
Description of Work: In our area roofs are commonly coated with an elastomeric material that is "painted" on. When dry, it provides a rubber-like coating that protects the roof. Usually white, it reflects the sun's rays and also provides some insulation and cooling properties. Unfortunately, this has to be done frequently, usually every two or three years. After about three applications, the material has to be removed and the process is repeated. As you might guess, this becomes quite expensive over time. A metal roof was my answer. I called Weatherguard to install a new metal roof on my home.
