After having handyman Ray Perzee foul up installing my new $500.00 outside door and having given him a $200.00 advance he then walked off the job without a word. After 2 weeks of him refusing to take my phone calls, I contacted Better Homes of Sierra Vista and Kenda came out right away and after looking over everything, stated that in order to warrant their work they would have to remove the door that had not been put in square and undo all the messy work that Ray Perzee had done. This would cost me twice the amount that I had already paid Ray Perzee.
Because of the intricate amount of work that would have to be done in undoing the huge mess and then putting in all new wood in the frame, Kenda said it would be better to wait until their top professional man returned from his vacation to do the job. Because Mr. Ray Perzee's helper had smeared caulking al over the trim and the painted wall next to the trim in big hunks, we also had to buy new wider trim to cover all the caulking on the walls. Then new redwood was needed to cover the openings where the prior wood had been removed. Mr. Perzee had attempted to fill the wide holes between the wood and the wall of the house with caulking. That all had to come out in order to put the Redwood in. The new trim and the outside sides of the new door were painted without spilling a drop, and last of all the storm door had to be re-aligned into the doorway.
The work was done professionally in a day's time by a local Sierra Vista company that is Licensed, Bonded, Insured and they give Military and Senior Citizen discounts. They will be called if I need any other work done on our home and I will never again call a handyman.
