The attendant determined what headlights I would need (their actually were two possibilities on this) and then alerted me to savings should I buy two - which, I did.
This is not the first time that I've found them to be helpful. More than once I've taken a car down with an unknown check light showing, and had them come out with a device that would and quot;readand quot; the info.
Prices aren't bad, and the crew is always helpful whether it's something like the above or simply dropping off used oil.

Auto Zone provides a free service that has saved me some money over the years. Specifically, if you drive to their location and report that you have a warning light in the dash, they will go out to your vehicle and hook up an electronic device that will read out the relevant code. Then back into the store where they ascertain the relevant diagnosis.
Since they are more apt to sell you a needed part, I don't think of this as charity - it's simply smart business. And it certainly keeps me coming back.
I usually buy oil, filters, windshield wipers ... almost any items necessary for car maintenance. Prices are good. Only criticism is that I have had to wait in line on occasion. They seem to be a bit understaffed.
But overall, I'd recommend them.
