Sedona Oil and Lube

Badly. I asked for an oil change. Jerry, the owner, recommended a high mileage Pennzoil because it "conditioned gaskets, stopping leaks. I said "no, thank you because only 4 months ago I took his offer and had to add 3 quarts of oil since the change I asked for 20/50 Castrol. He said he only carried Pennzoil 20/50 and charged $20 extra (total $47.95) because I didn't wank bulk oil. My friend, a young man, was with me to take me home if he couldn't change the oil immediately. 2 hours later, I noticed it was 4:55pm and the shop was closing so I went in. He was just finishing up and said it took an extra .75 quarts. I asked for the last .25 quarts because I figured I'd have to add oil. Jerry then brought me a jug of Super Tech and I realized what happened. Instead of Pennzoil which costs $25 per 5 qt, he put in Walmart Super Tech ($12/5qt.) When I saw he did that, I crawled under to see if there was a new filter. The dirty old road-grime-pitted one was still in and dripping dirty brown oil. (I have a photo but the upload button wouldn't work with my android.) My friend who brought me in to leave the car reminded Jerry that he promised Pennzoil like his sign says. Jerry refused to honor his agreement or give a refund but instead threatened to "bust open your head" as he pushed me out of the store. I am painfully disabled with an orthotic shoe lift. Jerry, the owner still shoved me. I almost fell and called the police. They filed an incident report and suggested that I post this review.

After getting a battery jump from a neighbor, I went to Sedona Oil and Lube to leave them a note to call me so I could bring my car in first thing Monday morning because I needed to take a friend to the doctor late hat morning. Luckily, Jerry, the owner, wasthere by chance. They are not even open on Sundays but he is happily agreed to test and replace my battery anyway. Is that great or what! He didn't even charge me labor to test or replace the battery, just the battery and the tax. 
I always get good service at Sedona Oil and Lube. They don't just do oil and lube jobs, they are mechanics and also do car repair. I always find Jerry to be knowledgeable, patient, friendly and always explains what they are doing. 5 Stars for these guys. 
*I should add that I am a retired factory and trade school trained foreign and domestic auto mechanic with many years in the car repair business. I have worked in 7 new car dealers in capacities from mechanic on up to service manager. I am also the former owner of Spectrum Automotive in San Rafael, California.

I had a oil change and safety check. If your a local or passing through Sedona — recommend. They did a great job at a great price. I found out too they the do most mechanical work a car needs. Most importantly, the owner Jerry, talked with me personally on what my vehicle needed in the way of service. No pressure or up sales, just good customer service.
