Mike arrived at the appointed hour quickly found the problem fixed it with parts on his truck and now we are comfortable in our home thanks to Mike.

He is OK. It was done through the home warranty company. I just pay them on a monthly basis then I pay them a certain amount when I call anybody and then they pay him. I have no clue how much. The only reason I rated a "B" is because something went wrong with the cooler and he had to come back a year later after it was brand new but it may not have been his fault, it may have been the cooler. I'm not sure why an evaporator cooler would have a problem I don't know when it was new. There is a difference between an air conditioners and evaporator coolers. This is an evaporator cooler and he does both. He does everything. It was just him and he was very quick. The area was clean. He was good to work with and responsible.

I had just moved in to my home and I wanted to have an expert come out to do a maintenance check on it. (note: my home warranty company does not do maintenance checks-only breakdowns) After escrow had closed, I had a month to paint the interior and rip out the old carpeting and put in tile flooring. During that time I set the thermostat at 78'f. (Keep in mind, it was +110'f outside and 78 was cool enough.) There was a sticker on the unit so I called that local service company. The same one that installed it 4-5 years ago. And one who got "high" ratings here on Angie's list. The tech came out, spent an hour and told me that an exterior pipe that's suppose to feel cold wasn't (please excuse me for not being able to identify the parts). None-the-less he told me it would cost $150 for the part and $495 for the labor to replace the part. Shocked at the statement, I asked how long will it take you to replace it? Oh about an hour, he said. My first thought .... Neurosurgeons don't even make that much an hour! I paid him +$150, thanked him and showed him the door. A few "days" later, it stopped cooling completely. I called my home warranty company and they scheduled Mike. I had to travel to L.A. that week so we had a hard time scheduling a date. When we finally connected 7am one morning, I pulled up and he was sitting (waiting) right in front of my home. I apologized for the scheduling and explained what the first tech told me. Mike took about 30 minutes inspecting the whole unit. He agreed with the other tech and pointed to the "same" pipe. Mike fixed the problem and now my unit works like a champ!
I didn't have to use Angie's list this time but when I was scrolling and saw Mike Reed on the list, I had to share my experience. Anyone out there who needs a good, knowledgeable and experienced AC guy, CALL MIKE!
And BTW, Always get estimates! There's a lot of dishonest service company's waiting to rip you off!

I really like Mike. He definitely knows what he is doing, and he puts customer satisfaction ahead of all other concerns. He was also very helpful in explaining to me how the entire system worked, and showed how I can take care of routine maintenance in the future.

He was prompt, got busy right away to assess the problems and found several problems caused a short in the wiring and possible faulty burner etc. after about 15 minutes work, the furnace was working perfectly.

I just call him and give him the address of my rental and describe the problem as told to me by my tenant.

He came out extremely fast, was very nice, and fixed the problem easily. He showed me a few things. The service charge seemed a bit high, but other than that it went great.

Set appointment time for the next day and arrived on time. Had all the tools and equipment needed for the repair on hand. Professionally went about fixing the unit. Diagnosted potential problem and found an inexpensive work around to keep the unit running. Cleaned up afterward and verified unit running.
