We spoke directly with David Harvey.  We went into his store on Coffee Pot Drive and viewed  ceramic tile, he and his staff helped us select a tile for our home.  We were very exact with Mr. Harvey that we did not want to even begin the project if it could not be 100% complete by 3/26/12 as we would begin living in our home as of that date.  We knew it would be a tight schedule and were hesitant to even hire him.  His first estimate was it could be done in 1 1/2 weeks.  We told him we did not feel that was not possible.  He then revised to 2 1/2 weeks and promised it would be done by the time we arrived on 3/26/12.  3/16, we received photos showing our old hardwood floors had been taken out.  The insinuation was that the tiles would be laid the next 10 days and would be done when we arrived.  3/23, we received a phone call from someone not part of Creative Flooring and they told us we still had no floors.  We were literally in the process of packing up a RV with our four dogs and family and on our way down the road to Sedona.  We could not delay our trip at that point.  There had been ZERO communication from Mr. Harvey about our flooring not being done. In the meantime, we did our research and despite having a storefront and acting as if all were just fine, we learned Creative Flooring/David Harvey had one license revoked, one suspended and one expired.  We were informed it was illegal to hire Creative Flooring/David Harvey to do work in our home.   We arrived on 3/26/12 to three people we had never met, in the house JUST BEGINNING the job.  We immediately told them to clear out and that their job was done.  We had given Mr. Harvey a $13,000 deposit.  Only half of the tile needed to do our job was at our home.  We attempted several times over the next week to get Mr. Harvey to deliver our tile with no luck.  He will not answer phone calls, his voice mail states it is so full it can't accept more messages and he forces his office people to take care of his mistakes (which they can not as they are HIS) and only sends e-mails after deadlines have already passed with more excuses.  We have had to hire another contractor (licensed and reliable this time!!) to finish our job.  We are waiting until this Friday to see if Mr. Harvey will get his act together and deliver our tile.  We do not have much hope.  We plan, on Friday, to hire an attorney.  We have already reported him and Creative Flooring to the state.  With an attorney's assistance, we hope to add to his public record so that others are aware of what he is capable of.  The people who did take out our hardwood floors messed up and damaged our newly painted walls, clogged our toilets and left a BM in them, tracked tile cement across our newly installed carpets, put holes (big enough for golf balls) in the cement floor.  This does not even include how his failure to perform and communicate ruined the move in to our new home which was supposed to be something exciting and wonderful.  Be aware of what this person has on his legal record and take that into consideration if you are considering hiring him.  Check to see if the state of Arizona has deemed him worthy by re-issuing license before proceeding with anything.

Update 4/18/12:  Mr. Harvey did not come through.  In fact, after telling him "time was up, we were buying new tile to finish the tile and turning it over to an attorney", he had the audacity to tell us it was our choice to buy new tile etc etc" .  Today, our attorney is sending out the "first warning" letter.  We plan on taking this all the way to court.  Hopefully, we can make a difference and help make sure he can not do anything like this again.

Update 4/26/12:  Mr. Harvey has ignored the deadline set by our attorney.  We now proceed to court where we are very confident of winning.
